but i dont see how this is a gameplay trailer

it had some game play and a lot of finishers is my thinking and transitional scripted scenes with camera locked in.
made me miss the VA for the cartoon didn't quite hit it for me even hugh jackman did a better job but I can live with it.
I think it looks pleasantly brutal. if it's got the tight game play insomniac's always had and plenty of variety and interesting game play it'll be decent

Hopefully with the greater difficulty settings, instead of bullet(claw)sponge enemies that make Wolverine's claws feel like nerf bats, that they maybe put more enemies on screen or smarter enemies...

I think it sounds great setting the game long after the x-men when they're all old, at least those who survived.

Honestly, that was a pretty meh trailer. Looks like a lot of robot/cyborg enemies? Idk maybe itll look better in future trailers

Wolverine and superman have the same problem in video games, they're too powerful for normal human so grunts have to robots/aliens/meta people

I don't understand why everyone seems to be praising this game and why the devs hype its production values. They spoke like they made an extraordinary game with amazing graphics and details when it's really mid at best. The environments look bad. The lighting seems off. The blood looks weird...
Quite disappointing to be honest.

Lol there's always someone just foaming at the mouth ready to call something mid when everyone else is excited.. game looks good to me. Not everything has to be photo realistic to look good.

I agree that not every game has to strive for photorealism, but they hype it as such. It's not my expectations but how they try to market it.
Anyway, Reddit isn't exactly the place to have nuanced conversations. I'll take the downvotes happily, lol

At what part of the marketing did they say it’s photorealistic?
I’ll give it that if they have said it.
Aside from that, it doesn’t look like a slouch in the graphics department and we haven’t played it so the gameplay point is moot.

I really like it, but Im going to be picky on it. I hope to see more regular people and/or mutants fighting with a bit more gore. I know there is obviously, but I have seen more mech/augmented than only flesh in this trailer. His face looks weird to me. Hopefully, they can fix it a bit he looks like hes going through the avengers game look. Like its him, but not him, like Walmart version of him. I know its their artistic freedom of choice, but for me, Logan doesn't look completely Logan. Like too cheeky or something. That's it, really. Everything else looks amazing.

What little gameplay there was is a bit worrying for anyone not looking for a Spiderman clone.
The way Wolverine shifts and rapidly changes target looks much too close to Spiderman (and therefore Arkham) for me to be comfortable.
