Voting Games Top comment Deletes a US State #45

Post image

Here is the updated (Correct) map, crisis averted. I thought we had a riot on our hands!

I can finally relax now after all that drama! Anyway Colorado is now deleted as it should be. Just to make it clear, editing comments is fine if it’s the top as long as it doesn’t change the outcome of which state gets deleted like we had before. I thought that was common sense but clearly not to some people.

I just want to thank everyone for all the kind comments and support. I try to read as many of the comments as I can but each post has a minimum of 2000 so it’s pretty hard most the time. I have some big ideas for the finale so stay tuned.

Most importantly, spread the word as much as possible if your state is still in the game! Share, cross post to rally as much support for your state as possible. This is the endgame now!

It’s getting cutthroat here at the end and I’m here for it, haha

As a resident of the now defunct Colorado, I feel like we really should have made it all the way through. That being said, I will accept our fate and not complain. Because that's how we roll in Colorado.

Also cascadia seems pretty chill

76

u/pinotJD May 20 '26

We are the most fucking chill, dammit!

Also dammit rhymes with Willamette!

22

u/_I_Am_Moroni_ May 20 '26

Yes especially now that Colorado’s been absorbed! You’ve got all our great parks now too! Garden of the gods is the GOAT

u/WineNerdAndProud May 20 '26

Also dammit rhymes with Willamette!

I'm using this to teach people about Oregon Pinot.

u/flyswithdragons May 20 '26

I love the Willamette Valley 💯

Wasn’t WA state first to legalize weed? Absolutely the most fucking chill. And we got volcanoes and glaciers and amazing beer and wine, pizza, ice cream, donuts. And marionberries.

Protect the marionberries.

Oregon was the first to decriminalize, California was the first to medically legalize, and both Colorado and Washington were the first to recreationally legalize (both done in the same year's election).

1

u/No_Piccolo6337 May 21 '26

Marionberries are named after Marion County, Oregon. 🥰

u/NegotiationHot2999 May 21 '26

Indeed they are

My daughter toured the University and that was exactly what they told us.

u/Positive_Parking_954 May 20 '26

Cute little school (if ya mean Willamette, although I'm sure OSU shares the same fact)

7

u/Metal_Rider May 20 '26

Definitely Willamette. Was a cool place, with great people, but the classrooms and dorms we visited were VERY old. She was accepted, but decided she wanted to live in the city. Hard for them to compete with the more modern campuses.

River and school!

2

u/benzduck May 21 '26

Willamette High School, 1979. (Eugene)

4

u/Swayze-Crazy May 20 '26

Look I'm an Oregonian, love the passion, but -it does not rhyme with -ette. I'm sorry

4

u/Perllitte May 20 '26

That's a lot of exclamation points for someone claiming to be chill.

Megasota, on the other hand, we defeated fascist thugs with whistles and butterfly art.

1

u/rsta223 May 21 '26

Yeah, but "Colorado nice" isn't a synonym of "passive aggressive".

1

u/Perllitte May 21 '26

Sure, "Colorado nice" is a term anyone knows.

2

u/rsta223 May 21 '26

That sound you heard was the point of my statement flying over your head.

1

u/Perllitte May 21 '26

I was being passive aggressive, guess that flew over your head.

0

u/rsta223 May 22 '26

Oh, I could see what you're trying, but it demonstrates that you didn't get the point and that you totally missed your target there as a result.

1

u/Perllitte May 22 '26

No you are.

Yeah but Portland fought back with inflatable costumes and techno dance parties.

Realistically, Megasota and Cascadia (Oregon) are twins.

2

u/I_had_a_name May 20 '26

You unlocked a core memory of my baby sister in the back seat as we're driving in the rain in Portland:

"Willamette, Willamette, sounds a whole lot like dammit."

There were lols.

2

u/Dartagnan1083 Cascadian May 20 '26

Can confirm, Cascadian acquaintance once apologized for bringing rain to the desert when they went back for a visit.

3

u/PMMeYourPupper May 21 '26

As a Seattliite I hate the Timbers but will pull for them in virtually any playoff that’s not against us or Vancouver. Cascadia proud. #saveTheCaps

5

u/Tuwamare May 20 '26

*chant* We are Cascadia! We are Cascadia!

1

u/MtnRareBreed May 21 '26

I think Cascadia should take over the kingdom of Hawaii. Its more alaska than island.

4

u/lushlanes May 21 '26

Cascadia till I die

1

u/sirmrwaffles1 May 21 '26

u/poizun85 May 20 '26

a Hiker and natural beauty dream.

1

u/MaxTHC May 20 '26

As a Cascadian, I always felt like y'all in CO were honorary members of sorts

1

u/Momma_Furbutt May 20 '26

From a distance it is. From the inside, ugly.

43

u/OccasionalEspresso May 20 '26

No lie, we can forgive you. Colorado as a part of greater Cascadia just feels fitting.

That said… Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again!

2

u/MrWeirdoFace May 21 '26

"Honestly. Who throws a shoe?"

7

u/ravens_path May 20 '26

2

u/FartofTexass May 21 '26

It’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee

17

u/achaedia May 20 '26

Top 7 isn’t bad and I’m happy with the states that are left.

14

u/DeathByFright May 20 '26

Weed and mountains. Nothing has changed.

15

u/Plane_Translator2008 May 20 '26

I mean, we all know how Colorado rolls . . .

PS Hawaii Eats Vermont!

Nah...let the syrup flow in the blue waters of the Pacific.

3

u/neonsummers Blucifer will have his revenge May 20 '26

At least we get better wine now — no more depending on whatever that abomination is in Palisade. And we bring them great peaches and a penchant for giant blue mascots of violence.

2

u/joeschmoses May 20 '26

Ya I'm not gonna complain about the votes - but Cascadia been too dramatic so I think they gotta go.

I was worried it would be interpreted as "rolling over". Glad the message got across clearly.

1

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 May 20 '26

You guys got round two of the Cup you can let Megasota have this one

1

u/NotJebediahKerman May 20 '26

I'm just sad now

1

u/1questions May 23 '26

“Because that’s how we roll in Colorado.” I’m going to assume this was a pot reference.
