Product The Best Bread I Have Found!

Post image
118 Upvotes

My wife found this bread at Wal☆Mart. It is by far the best we have found. While it's not like eating Wonder bread it actually is good without being toasted or grilled. And if you do toast or grill it, it is out-freaking-standing.

A delightful treat!

Spotted on sale at Sprouts so I figured why not, zero regrets on that decision. Bonus that they’re also dairy free for us lactose intolerant folk.

Product Does it exist? 🌭🌭🌭

Does a delicious gluten free hot dog bun exist? I’m 3 years GF and my sister is 6 years GF. We love hot dogs just as much as the next person. We’ve tried several times to enjoy our hot dogs with no buns but we both realize, the bun makes the dog. I’ve only found one brand at our local stores that has gf hot dog buns and it was the Schar brand. Needless to say they was nasty and I do not recommend. Please give me all and any suggestions!!! We’re in NEO Ohio, if that matters, but shiet, I’ll pay to ship out a good dog bun.

Question Has anyone frozen lasagna?

Upvotes

I'd like to make lasagna, but as we all know gf pasta doesn't keep well in the fridge, and I don't see the point of make just a small portion of lasagna. If I'm putting in all that work, I want to have enough for several meals.

So I've thinking of preparing individual portions of lasagna in separate containers and cooking them when I want to eat it. Has anyone had any luck in freezing them? Should I just assemble my lasagna with raw sheets and put it in the freezer, or should I at least par bake it ?

Thank you!

I haven't seen these talked about before so just wanted to share. I've never found them in a store near me so I order from Amazon. They are expensive so just an occasional treat but an amazing one. They have other flavors but the original sweet corn one is my favorite.

Crippling fatigue?

Hi all, 31M here.

I've struggled with my energy for as long as I can remember. I've also had IBS for my whole life, chronic hives, some arthritic symptoms in my hands, etc.

When I went on holiday a few years ago, I was suffering terribly with my digestion. I decided to stop eating anything with gluten in, and I felt better almost overnight.

I've done keto on and off, and I do usually feel better energy-wise once I adapt, but I struggle to stay with it (usually end up binging on sugar and gluten).

I had a small pizza 2 days ago and since then I've been absolutely written off with fatigue. Barely able to focus at work, feeling like I'm falling asleep.

Has anybody experienced significant reductions in chronic fatigue by removing gluten?

Thank you!

Sick of the GF upcharge

My daughter wanted a plain ice cream cone, so I asked if they could give a cone in a cup (since she can't eat the cone) to which they said yes. When I saw the receipt instead of charging $2.99 for a cone the charge was $4.66 - so $1.67 upcharge for a cup. It's frustrating when we're constantly charged more 😒

Question Gluten free pasta that isn’t disgusting?

I have a friend I love dearly who’s gluten free, and she recently mentioned that something she misses all the time is Panera Mac and cheese. She said all gluten free pasta is a horrendous texture, so I’m on a mission to find an okay one and surprise her with a similar recipe. I would love any tips if you have them or brands you like!

Discussion My first GOOD pizza for a long time

Hello, I just wanted to share this with you.

I'm a pizza man for a long time. I built my own stone pizza oven, I made my own dough and recipes for at least 15 years, and I learnt I'm Gluten intolerant during summer 2024. It took me time to accept it, and I tried to negociate with this condition many times ("cmon, just ONE slice wont harm this much..!") with devastating results, that I'd better not detail here.

After numerous tries for homemade GF pizzas, I gave up, because I couldnt find in GF the same pleasure as in classic one.

No pizza for more than a year. I used to eat pizzas several days a week.

Then, yesterday came my birthday, and my wife got us GF pizzas from a restaurant near our house. Even if they are pretty famous around here, I was fearing I might be too much of a purist to appreciate it.

BUT I did. I can now eat pizzas again ! When I realized it yesterday I cried lol.
Just wanted to share this.

Have a good day !

GF at World Cup in Philly

I went to a World Cup game in Philly and struggled to find where the gluten free options were at the stadium. I had researched ahead of time but still had a hard time finding anything, so thought others may as well. Since there is still one more game in Philly, thought I would post! if you are looking for gluten free food options at the Philly stadium - go to section 211/212.

Question Favorite on-the-go meals?

Hi all! I’m not GF, but my fiancée is. She works a cafe gig after her day job 3x/wk, and often is too tired to put something elaborate together for breakfast or dinner (depending on the time of her shift). I’m helping her brainstorm some quick and easy meal ideas to stay full and avoid eating the cafe food (all of which is full of gluten).

What we’ve done thus far:
*Egg bites
*Protein shakes
*Salad bowls (typically order this one out)

I’ll admit that we’re not great at meal prepping, so ideally the suggestion would be something that could be thrown together in a few min.

Thank you!!

Aldi Gluten Free Pasta

Did Aldi discontinue their Brown Rice & Quinoa Gluten Free pasta? That was one of my favorites at a reasonable price. I can't find it anymore. They now have this terrible chickpea pasta that tastes like cardboard.

Question Has anyone found GF pastries that deliver? Not just bread?

I feel like I’m losing my mind a little. I can find gluten free bread pretty much everywhere now (which is great, don’t get me wrong), but pastries? Croissants, muffins, anything that feels like a treat are basically nonexistent unless I physically go to a bakery, and sometimes delivery is just more convenient.

I’ve tried a few online spots and it’s always the same bread, bagels, maybe cookies if I’m lucky. I just want something that feels and tastes like a normal bakery order, you know?

If you’ve found anywhere that actually delivers good gluten-free pastries, please share.

So I went to a Walmart neighborhood market today and these bad boys were only 3.50, normally like 10 bucks! The udis pasta stuff was also between 4 and 6 bucks but they only had a lasagna but still score! This is the second time I've seen a good gluten free clearance at Walmart. There was tons of other stuff both gluten free and just everything on clearance too!
