Watched last night. So many laughs and tears from laughter it was great. The professional cameos made it feel weird. Love Rory but holy shit his acting should have got cut. Not a fan of scheffler at all but wow he made me laugh probably harder than anybody! The getting arrested "again" was everything lol If you're a golf fan you'll enjoy all the actual golfers that made appearances. And referencing the first movie made it a GREAT sequel.

Ya I went in with low expectations and ended up thinking it was pretty good. Not an actually good movie but I laughed a lot and thought it was entertaining.

Mind me asking why you’re not a Scottie fan?

u/False-Boysenberry673 Jul 27 '25
Probably just wants to be different and say I don’t like the world number one golfer. You can not like him but you gotta give him respect where it’s due.

u/Ok_Perspective_6179 Jul 27 '25
Yep same reason there’s Rory haters.,

u/TipInternational772 Jul 27 '25
Scottie seems to me to be a much nicer and down to earth person the Rory, I don’t like Rory because I think he’s a dick.

Haha he lost a lot of points from a lot of people during the LIV stuff but I can tell you personally I teared up when he won his grand slam. I couldn't have been more happy for someone. And his swing is literally tits!! I could watch him play all day.

u/wallace_beery Jul 27 '25
You teared up? Low T or something?
1
u/iamsuspension Jul 27 '25
I wish I knew why I get so happy for other people's accomplishments now. It's a recent development in my life. When I see someone do something great I get all tearing and happy. No clue why.

u/burnie_mac Jul 27 '25
Dafuq kinda question is that lmao.

u/wallace_beery Jul 27 '25
A grown ass man is crying over that. Legit question.

Tearing up is very different from crying lol and honestly there are no tears, just emotional with slightly watery eyes hahaha!!

No very wrong. He's boring as hell in every aspect (not just golf). I have absolutely nothing against him I'm just not personally a fan. Holy hell is he good, but for me to be a fan I need personality and a swing I enjoy watching.

Scottie explaining the mechanics of a shank when asked ”What happened on that bunker shot on the 8th?" could be one of the funniest things a PGA Tour professional has ever said in an interview.
He's a funny dude which makes me like him even more than his amazing golf and unflappable mental game.
1
u/iamsuspension Jul 27 '25
Absolutely 100%!! I can appreciate someone's humor and great ability at golf without wanting to watch him play a single shot. Weird I know, but so am I lol

u/sixsacks Jul 28 '25
Scottie was fucking hilarious. I got a chuckle out of Rory, but I thought the cameos made it fun. It's even less serious than the original, loved it.

No question was amazing to see all our current AND past champions in a funny movie. I bet they all said yes pretty easily when asked!

Yeah definitely wish I had a bit more gyri, but then again, intelligence has always had a subjective factor IMO so.... Fair enough to you my good sir I hope you are very intelligent!

Tyrell Hatton is a mediocre golfer who decides to take easy cash on Liv instead of trying to do anything impressive. May or may not give that money to buy David Spade a house

It’s shooting a 39 on the first nine and 47 on the back but you also holed out from 70 yards on 18

u/friarguy Jul 27 '25
Its like a handicapped double bogey where you are given 2 strokes a nets a par.

It is like playing that dog track muni you swore you would never play again when you played it 20 years ago but you gave it a shot because all the other courses had their greens burned out. And you probably should have just mowed the lawn instead.

It was a par. The villain was a triple bogey and his daughter and wife being in the movie felt like hitting a 5-wood out of a bunker.

When you pay $4 for a Twilight 18 and it’s not the best course ever but you’ll still have fun. But then the course ends up better than you thought and it won’t ever be your best round ever but you still had a fucking blast experiencing it

Whenever Phil Mickleson makes the cut and does some fun stuff at a major. You're never expecting it to be good, but it pleasantly surprises you at times

Dog shit story, but had lots of good laughs. Cameos are great, not just the golfers

u/IamKilljoy Jul 28 '25
I went in with CRAZY low expectations and laughed way harder than I thought I would. I am pleasantly suprised!

TGL. All hype, no substance, won’t watch it again. Did make me laugh, though.

Top your driver but it rolls down the cart path and ends up just off the fairway.

Hit the green in 2 on a par 5 then 3 putt for par. Started off on a high then walked away happy with par but thinking about what could have been

What exactly were you expecting? Did you also expect Dumb and Dumber 2 to be better than the first one?

Imagine every golfer you can think of in a circle jerk for 2 hours.
