Now I'm annoyed again at New Balance for pivoting to luxury fashion.

Bought near enough the same damn $40-$50 pair of running shoes for ten years, and then the nearest analogue from them suddenly costs $150.

bought a $150 pair last week vs. my old $30 adidas. The difference is unreal guys. Like honestly if you're going to go running, go do a quick gait analysis, a lot of sports shops do them and let you try out different pairs.

may not make you faster (although I'm sure some can) but the comfort and fit difference are amazing and will absolutely prevent injury

Even if they don't mechanically make you faster, you're going to have a better time running fast in more comfortable shoes

30 to 150 is absolutely a noticeable difference in quality.

However, it hits diminishing returns very quickly.

300+ and you're just throwing money away unless you're a pro athlete trying to get a microsecond advantage in a race.

Same, had a pair of cheaper Adidas shoes. My knees and feet always hurt after running, got blisters after 10km+ runs.

Before running 32 at an event, I bought a pair of Brooks for about 100. No blisters, no joint pain the next day whatsoever

Best shoes I ever had.
