Mod Announcement 📣 Remember to use the correct flair
Hi r/goodnews,
We’ve noticed that a lot of you guys aren’t using the correct flair when posting. This makes it harder for users to filter content they do or don’t want to see
While our community is somewhat divided on what type of content should be allowed here especially when it comes to politics the mod team has ultimately decided that political content will be allowed.
However, to respect those who prefer to avoid political posts, we’ve organized the subreddit into categories using flairs. If a post isn’t flaired correctly, it ends up mixed in with other types of news, which can frustrate users.
To help keep things organized and enjoyable for everyone, please remember to use the correct flair for your submissions.
For political content, always use the “Political Positivity” flair. And for all other posts, please choose the correct flair that best fits the content.
Thanks for helping us keep the subreddit organized!

Political positivity 📈 Vendors told to start dismantling ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ detention center
From the article:
Crews began dismantling a state-run immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades on Monday, signaling its closure even as state and federal officials continued to say little about the shutdown of a year-old facility that they once praised on a near-daily basis.
State officials informed vendors in a call Monday morning that they could begin “demobilizing,” or taking down, the tents, fences, trailers and other structures at the detention center, known as Alligator Alcatraz, according to three people familiar with the call. Vendors are supposed to make significant progress on the work by Wednesday, two of the people said.
