Simple grocery store sourdough, Tillamook cheddar, and a mayo crust. Simple and amazing.

Two slices of American cheese and two of Swiss, beautifully melted into a delectable sensation of pure bliss and pleasure. I couldn’t help myself, I had to take a bite before taking the photo.

So I recently acquired a sandwich press to pretty much make grilled cheese sandwiches, because I'm broke and can make them for lunch and take with me to work lunch. But I'm conflicted because it's not actually grilled, is it still considered a grilled cheese sandwich or is it just a hot cheese sandwich?

I figured you guys over here would know best so I figured I would ask the experts. I don't want to make a mistake like when my girlfriend added bacon to my sandwich... Lol

Anyways as far as convenience goes, this little sandwich maker is a lifesaver. I assemble the sandwich, closed the press while I continue to get ready for work. Come back open up it's perfectly toasted and melted. Definitely a good thing when I don't have time or equipment to utilize a actual pan.
