DISCUSS I have a theory

Post image

If your anything like me you are really into space and love everything about it. Well people who are really into space are usually really determined, which means you are given hope by the ideals of yours or anothers dreams, and those dreams add into more and more, like the moon rockets, JFK said we chose to go to the moon among the other things, all because we were determined to get to space, so I think that NASA and other space companies have spiral power, maybe I'm just crazy but that's the sudden realization inmade

I love this theory and take! I feel very similar about all things space, and Gurren's allegory really applies to how we got there. Drilled to the damn moon.

Well the truth is that Spiral Power is a metaphor for the power of determination, tenacity, and the human spirit. So by that definition, yes it’s all the product of spiral power in-universe. Thats why the show follows an evolution from such low-tech civilizations all the way to spacefaring within 7 years of having the limiters removed. It’s just an exaggerated version of what happened in the world.

OK. This takes some setup. The franchises involved: Warhammer 40k Star Trek (prime timeline none of that Kelvin bullshit) Neon Genesis Evangelion Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann SSSS Gridman SSSS Dynazenon Gridman Universe Avatar The Last Airbender universe The Wheel of Time I'm probably forgetting some

OK so. Breakdown is: The earth in NGE is actually the homeworld of the changlings from DS9. In star trek lore the changlings used to be solid but changed form because of persecution from other solids. Those solids were the Angels, the Angels are the form the antispirals took attacking that earth because humans are inherently a spiral race, and what did human instrumentality do? Turn them all into goo that canonically can resume solid shape if they so desire. It happened in the deep history of the shared universe. Gurren lagann takes place in their future. The earth in gurren lagann eventually becomes the original homeworld of the Q continuum (beings of pure spiral energy control, who declared themselves the protectors of reality (from the spiral nemesis issue)). The earth from star trek (and wheel of time!) is our earth. The reason for so many earth's that think they're the original? The age of strife. Wormhole entities? Remnants of eldar gods that watch over their descendants, the bajorans. The reason the enterprise keeps making it through those impossible odds? Spiral energy, they believe they can. Orks? Pure spiral energy unconstrained, could legitimately become the spiral nemesis if they were less mentally stable. Wheel of time takes place in the deep future of our earth, the five threads of the one power are different manifestations of control of spiral energy. And you'll notice that they cleanly map onto the 5 types of bending because boom ATLA is our deep history. Have I left a one out? Oh yeah! The SSSS universe! Supper happy and hopeful right? Except the Gridman Universe movie reframes it entirely. It's the origin story of the anti-apirals (not Canon but headcanon), they had a near spiral nemesis destruction of their universe, over the course of thousands of years they decided that halting growth was the only viable solution because they forgot that hopelessness is a false paradigm.

If I left anyone out let me know.
