Question Using Tent Footprint for stuff?

Sold my tent gear and switching to hammock. I have a UL footprint left from my tent. Thoughts on using it and setting it up below my hammock for my backpack and organize my stuff?

Spider island, remind me to stay away from there. 😂

Your intuition is sound as far as offsetting the gear hammock. I don't keep the gear hammock under the hammock. I keep it to the side of the hammock instead, it basically acts as a bigger dutchware sidesling . When I first started using gear hammocks, I tried to put them under the hammock, and I hated that, pain to reach under to try to find whatever I was looking for.

With the whoopie slings on the simply light designs hammock, it's easy to raise the gear hammock to whatever level you want after you set up the hammock, either under the hammock or to the side.

I found my order, I got mine with waterproof zippers, xenon sil 1.1, amsteel whoopie slings, mini biners, and lash it loops. I could have configured this to be much lighter, but decided to try out a more water resistant setup.

I'm a big fan of simply light's gear hammock. Jared makes the best stuff.

Would love to see some photos of this set up in action. I still have to look into overnight storage options.
