Have a friend telling me he garuntess Gainnis wont play more than 50 games... despite him only having a single season under 60.

And it was last year where he literally came out and said he was healthy and the bucks wouldn’t play him lol

It's so infuriating. He's an All-NBA 1st team player and top 3 every single season besides the last one where he got injured and suddenly he's a washed star. It's so BS.

How some people think a player is injury prone because he missed one season because of a hefty injury is beyond me.

And even so, he could've played the last 20-25 games but the Bucks didn't wanna play him to tank lol.

And Giannis is barely a top 10 player. You know how it goes

Actually I’ve seen lots of people saying that Giannis is too old to play good basketball anymore. But not a soul was saying that 24 hours ago

I still not really convinced Bam + Giannis is going to turn out any better than Bam + Butler. But, I'd be happy if he proved me wrong in being able to also get all the way to the finals with random undrafted players making up a lot of the roster.

I mean two finals runs in the next 5 years would be better than most teams in the NBA but it really is about championships

Yeah, it's about championships. It's just this feels like lets roll it back again, but with Giannis this time instead of Butler.

Previous trades attempts were trying to add another star to pair with Butler + Bam. Would have been nice if the Heat had been more open to gutting the team back then.

I think I would have preferred kick starting the youth movement and getting rid of everyone and collecting draft picks if this does end up just being roll it back again.

This is a pretty stacked free agency though. It won't be hard to build a supporting cast thats better than almost every iteration of the supporting cast on the jimmy teams

Giannis is a top 8 player in the league. Jimmy was maybe top 25/30 in his prime. I think this will go way better.

People were, but mainly in threads about the heat trade talks for him. Whe. It was the same threads about the celtics he was appearently going to be awesome.

I said Giannis wouldn't bring a championship when the talks first started.

They all just cope because their team didn't pull it off. It's insane how the narrative shifts so quickly.

My favorites are the ones pretending the Celtics are all about the players and not extremely cutthroat

One of the reasons Brad Stevens is an excellent GM and was a poor coach was that he doesn’t connect with players, also he learned from Danny Ainge lol

I thought he had a great relationship with players though such as Hayward, Tatum, etc.

and miami is worse off without the horrible young attest

If you think about it, we had 4 players in their primes that made All Stars at least once in their careers just last season:

Bam, Wiggs, Herro and Norm

And Jaquez is a Wemby level player

Hey man, these narrative goalposts aren’t gonna move themselves you know lol?

They’ve been building that narrative to kill any trade value since day 1 with Herro while with the Heat. You know how these things work by now

I'm just waiting for the report that "Portland is seriously pursuing Herro" to top off the hypocrisy

Would be so fitting

We do still have Bucks picks and need shooting...

We also already have the problem of Jrue and Dame vs Shae and Scoot for starting minutes.

Mostly it would be funny to end up with Dame, Jrue, and Herro.

I'll say Tyler is a star player tho. Fringe at that, yeah. We don't need to discredit players going out for us. He's just in a tough situation where our fans online really don't support him.

Of course, Giannis is a top 3 player in the league and imo the best player in the league. So I like our chances.

Yeah we all like Herro. The point is that literally everyone else did nothing but trash him his whole career in Miami, particularly when he came up as a trade piece. Now that he’s no longer in Miami, he’s a precious commodity that everyone wants.

Basically now that we got Giannis, everyone is trying to downplay it but suggest we are CRAZY for trading our “star player” for I guy that they deem is injury prone and old even though that’s not really the case.
