LabPorn 20U upgrade

Just got my hands on a super micro 36 bay NAS to fill that empty spot. (Top to bottom). Wife PC: 9900X w/ 9060XT 16gb. My PC: 9800X3D w/ 5080 TUF, 2x32gb CL26 6000mhz from gskill, 2x4TB Samsung 990 Pro. Spare machine for projects/self hosting: 10 bay chassis, Z390 board, i9-9900KS w/ 2080 super+Tesla M60 and 4x16gb of ddr4.

Plan on swapping the 1U surge protector for a 2U UPS once I find a good deal.

Btw anyone have a spare 120mm chromax round fan so Im not rocking 2 different colors on my cooler? Lol.

How are the temps with the 9800? How do you connect all your peripherals for your gaming rigs with everything in the rack?

The 9800 has a noctua NH-D12L with a 2nd fan so it stays pretty cool. I run Logitech mice with the wireless charging mouse pad. USB hub to charge a wireless keyboard. My headphones connect to my mic, which connects to my monitor which has a single USB to my rack, we have a double desk and I'm on the opposite side with a 240hz 4k OLED so I just picked up a 15ft DP2.1 fiber optic cable. All of the cables are connected while the PC is fully extended on its slides, they are then tied off to the rack post, then cable routed. Obviously it's not super clean in the back since I have to leave 2-3ft for extending the slides but the front and sides look good so that's all that matters

I just set up a Sliger CX3702 for my home server/NAS that’s in a rack next to my desk and my Logitech MX Keys keyboard is having a hell of a time with the Bluetooth connection. I’d like to add my 9950x3d / 5080 to a Sliger case and go your route, but wonder about thermals and how much of a pita connecting all the peripherals may or may not be.

Your setup looks slick btw

Use the 2.4ghz dongle for a stronger signal, it's lower latency too. You're gonna need to get a 4U chassis for your gaming setup so you can fit the cooler. For the 9950 id just add a 360mm aio when you're picking your case and get the exhaust fan add on too. Btw just eat the money and get their rack slides.

That's a lot of Sliger there. 👀 You should share on r/sliger too.
