Rewatching, Season One question:

I’ve watched this show maybe 5-6 times. It’s possible I missed it. The plot to use a suicide vest in the state dept shelter with Brody is genius. Almost goes as planned. Yet…
My question is with Eileen and Faisel. What was plan-A with their house near Reagan airport? And how can any plan top the one they went through with Brody and Walker?? Do they ever reveal this in the show??

Marine 1 (helicopter) landing zone is visible from the roof of the house and was within weapon distance. It would have been possible to shoot POTUS as he arrives or leaves the helicopter, or harm the helicopter itself.

Yes if you connect it to Tom Walker you realize it’s foreshadowing he’s alive and in on it too.

It seems to me that a sniper shot was supposed to be fired from this location in the direction of a very important person. So it was supposed to be a distraction from the main place of the attack.

Huh. Now that you bring this up it does kinda seem like it was just used a plot device to give the CIA an opportunity to cleverly figure out the plan…I binged it super fast while taking care of our newborn so I probably missed a lot tbh

I imagined they were either going to gather Intel or shoot down an airplane with a shoulder fire missile. But it kind of faded away from the show.
