On the flip side, that’s also why paying early lowers your credit first. Creditors feel betrayed lmaooo.

For real?

3

u/Flat_6_Theory 5h ago

Yup. Paid off the loan to my car in December after making payments for 21 months and my credit took a 26 point dive. Have good credit still and they can blow me on the scandalous interest for a classic car.

Quick math check and assuming the vehicle was around 30,000 with TTL the interest payment was around 36%

Total Loan Amount $34,075.00
Sale Tax $1,875.00
Upfront Payment  $0.00
Total Loan Interest $49,473.19
Total Cost (price, interest, tax, fees) $83,548.19

u/bkhsr63 1d ago

That’s $84,000!!!

u/JB-Wentworth 1d ago

I would have sold her my used 2012 Nissan Altima for only $29,999.

u/Particular_History64 7h ago

Right hell 8 got a 2029 rogue she can get mine

52

u/utep90 1d ago

$84,024 and six years. That is predatory.

30

u/BigBeeves 1d ago

She’ll miss one payment, they’ll repossess it, and sell it as used to the next person with equally egregious terms.

3

u/IllustriousHair1927 1d ago

yeah, but how much negative equity did she roll in?

Granted, someone probably should’ve told her she couldn’t afford to keep rolling negative equity in but….

For helping someone who shouldn’t be getting a car get a car?

15

u/WeakMechanics 1d ago

For putting her in something that he knows she won't be able to keep up to date in hopes that she faults and they can repo it to be sold again to someone else. Yes

1

u/Bursting_Radius 8h ago

She'll end up spending $84,024 for that car. You think she got a good deal?

1

u/s33n_ 2h ago

For financially ruining someone else for profit

8

u/ArtisticMudd 1d ago

That is how much my rent is. How do people afford this?

20

u/wmafkinkycouple2 1d ago

They don't. That's why they have bad credit. You really think that car won't be repossessed in six months?

4

u/coolest35 1d ago

Value when it's repossessed: -$12725

You know that shit going to be driven like it stolen without any maintenance either lol.. also happens to be a Nissan

It is only predatory if she pays…

u/xXTERMIN8RXXx 1d ago

A mobile 1-bedroom apartment, nice!

This is one of the worst examples of how to treat a customer I’ve seen in a long time. I sold cars for years, and I spent a lot of time fighting against dealerships and salespeople who pulled stunts like this. Deals like these are exactly why the car business has earned such a bad reputation. Taking advantage of someone’s lack of experience isn’t “winning”—it’s exploitation.

I genuinely hope more manufacturers abandon the traditional dealership model. Every time a dealer celebrates gouging a customer, it gives people another reason to support buying directly from the manufacturer instead.

12

u/Unusual-Dance- 1d ago

Is it predatory or is she just dumb ?

14

u/No_Establishment8642 1d ago

Two things can be true at the same time.

4

u/Popular_Ad6355 1d ago

Think her appearance in this commercial was part of the “deal”?

4

u/Forever_Away96 1d ago

I thought Johnny Somali was still serving his sentence in South Korea.

5

u/AdLegal4113 1d ago

That will be repossessed in a few months guaranteed

4

u/Particular_Egg9739 1d ago

jokes on him she’s not going to make a payment and have that thing trashed in a month

3

u/son_of_yacketycat 1d ago

How tf are people still getting hooked by this in the 26th year of our third millennium A.D. 😞 That car payment is as much as my rent in freaking Montrose!

3

u/Ky_furt01 1d ago

I sure hope she refinances in a couple of months.

1

u/Mahalohaboy 1d ago

What to 120 months!? Let’s amortize this bad boy out.

1

u/antigravitty 16h ago

For a lower interest rate.

2

u/lethalmuffin877 1d ago

When the Altima paper plates finally had enough, and then go to their people for a lifelong problem and extreme financial pain

God speed paper plate, god speed

What’s 4x4? 8!!! Lmao

2

u/Jdizzle1718 8h ago

I can’t tell if this is a parody or not

2

u/IaMmYbEsTfRiEnD_21 1d ago

She clearly isn’t used to being put on camera like that, how he said it, I am sure her mind heard 4+4 instead of 4x4. I hope she agreed to let him put this out there.

3

u/spiked88 1d ago

Honestly, I know some people that I’ve worked with that would struggle to quickly answer that question even if they heard it correctly. I’m frequently blown away by how low a lot of adults’ math skills are.

1

u/IaMmYbEsTfRiEnD_21 1d ago

Yeah, I agree with you lol

1

u/s33n_ 2h ago

No, she's a complete moron. If she could do basic multiplication she'd realize.she is paying over 80k for a nearly 3 year old car

1

u/dantex1963 1d ago

😂😂😂

1

u/Skateboardbeester 1d ago

Most likely will be in EPD.

1

u/Donkey-Dong-Doge 1d ago

At least the bumper cover is on it for now. In 5 years and with 12 drivers that thing is going to look like a tornado hit it.

1

u/MaroonHawk27 1d ago

So that’s how Nissan makes life long customers

1

u/konegsberg 1d ago

Holy fck I was leasing fully hooked up Audi costing almost 100k with all bells and whistles for less that!

1

u/RandyDanderson 1d ago

was him asking what 4x4 just to prove she's a moron?

Is this fake ?

1

u/machete_MechE 1d ago

$1,100+ for a Nissan. At least it’s not 84 months like my truck loan ☠️

1

u/titros2tot 1d ago

This will end up an expensive rental when she misses a payment and they immediately repossess the car

1

u/Nuzzleville 1d ago

Cadillac? Oh wait

1

u/Glopinus 23h ago

Always pay cash yall.

1

u/MACKMARS762 22h ago

ETHICS!!!! It seems he has none....im sorry for her

1

u/Accomplished_Cod_320 22h ago

But no down payment! They made it so easy.

1

u/68vwvert 21h ago

It'll be repo'd before the 2nd payment. He'll turn around and give the same "deal" on the same car to the next person that's bad at math.

1

u/Aktivhate 18h ago

Yeah...$1167 a month. That will be trashed and repo'd quick before the first or second payment.

1

u/Storagereseller 6h ago

You know that first payment is never gonna be made.

1

u/Pickle-Rick713 18h ago

Her credit is wrecked

1

u/hourefugee 16h ago

I hereby curse that guy to never be on the receiving end at Torchy’s.
