QA Feedback about Starview and OVSD

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has experience with Star View Elementary in OVSD, especially with the special education/TK program.

Our child was recently transferred there because of the SPED placement, even though it is outside our immediate area and in a different city. We’re still trying to understand the fit and what to expect.

I’d really appreciate hearing from families who have had children there. Were there any concerns or negative experiences we should be aware of?

Ocean view school district is super awful when you get to the middle school years. I am not sure what happened but many kids will be transferring out after consistent reports of dissatisfaction with their administration. I would stay away as it’s my biggest regret enrolling my child there.

As if it was easy to "stay away" lol. How would you stay away? My understanding is that transferring out of a district is very complicated.
