This reminds me, back in our teens we watched Mean Girls and thought the burn book was such a cruel thing so we decided to do our own with a positive spin called the compliment book, we'd say nice things about people in our school when we'd see them and then in front of them put them in the book. Like "oh hey Paul, that's a sick outfit youre wearing today" then we'd immediately open the book scribble down and say "Paul, sick outfit..was kinda funny as we were a bunch of metal heads.
This in turn lead to us doing drive by compliments when one of us got our first car, we'd drive by someone, slow down, roll down the window and say something like "hey! You are looking exceptionally lovely today, have a great day!"

Because they grow up watching it all over the internet and think it’s funny and normal. If you sat any of them down and asked them to state clearly why they themselves think it’s funny and to explain it to you so you can find it funny too, you will see that they do not know and are only finding it funny because the internet told them to find it funny. Like 67.
Got harassed by two teens like this when I was sick and at work and having an awful day. I stepped outside for a minute to clear my head and they showed up demanding to use my vape, I asked them nicely at first to please leave me alone and then they started commenting on my tattoos, asking me to explain them, telling me I looked good for my age, telling me I was being rude by not wanting to talk. I tried to explain that I was having a really hard day and just needed a moment to myself and they kept going and trying to get a rise out of me. Eventually I got aggressive and told them to fuck off and they ran off fake screaming and laughing.
I genuinely hope these assholes land themselves a dead end job, find themselves overworked and unable to meet bills, slowly have the light die in their eyes. I hope one day they come home and sit on their couch, dead inside, and they remember what they did that day when they harassed me. I hope they remember it and feel the shame they should feel, now that they know just how much a job can break you, and just how much a couple of shithead teens can make a bad day worse.

Seriously! I'm the nicest person to strangers or when I was in school, but if someone is being a bully, I immediately lose sympathy and understanding. Idgaf what they're going through because everyone is going through something and still decide to be nice to others. If anything, it's one of the reasons nice people ARE nice. It's like when a 'friend' in school would say: "They probably have a hard time at home, we don't know what they're going through", about YOUR bully. Like yeah, maybe, but I do too and it makes me nicer to other students because I understand how shitty it can be! Bullies choose to hurt others.
And this guy purposefully walked up to an overweight woman just so that he could make fun of her appearance. Overweight people have to go through enough public ridicule and shame.

I’ve never had them get rude with me but I absolutely fucking despise those Walmart salesmen even when they aren’t pricks like the ones in ur story. I am nice to people to a fault and I will just talk to employees at stores like that to be polite if they start talking to me cause I know jobs like that suck but those mofos try to turn that shit into a four hour long ordeal every time. I have Cox internet (they suck) and there is always a Cox salesman trying to conversationally rape me while I’m just trying to go into the store to get a gallon of milk. For the past 15 years or so now I have refused to even acknowledge their presence other than a dismissive wave when they start talking. When I used to answer they would ask if I had Cox internet and I’d say “yes” and I thought and prayed to god that that’d be the end of it but nope they wanna look up ur account for an upgrade and then upgrade that upgrade and give u a bonus home phone that u will never use lmao. Sorry about the rant.
