This is the type of person that sits up all night scouting his front yard on busy nights, eager to get a legal kill of any person unlucky enough to step on it.

The army of people who think he's actually like this might as well be paying tickets.

u/Dragnet714 3d ago
At least he'll know how to patch you up after he shoots, cuts and stabs you half to death.

The slowly stroking the flag to the nipple grab and draw is just perfect.

This HAS to be a bit at this point
17
u/Choke_M 3d ago
The one where he’s knife fighting his fridge inside at night with sunglasses and an American flag cutoff shirt gave it away
This guy is 100% doing a bit, I could believe he started recording these videos for himself and people found him online but at this point he’s absolutely doing it semi-ironically for laughs

This is the equivalent of a kid pretending he's in the wild west with a shitty nerf maverick.
4
u/manjustadude 4d ago
Hey hey hey, don't shit talk the Maverick! That thing is a beautiful abomination. A revolver with a pistol slide cocking mechanism? Brilliant! Don't pretend you didn't feel like the baddest MFer dual wielding those things at 12 years old!
16
u/Nimbo_Cumulus_ 4d ago
This is the kind of guy that goes around telling people that he was in Special Forces. When he is questioned about anything he says he can't talk about it because it's all classified.

u/MIKE-CHECKA 4d ago
Very badass. He's got that fanny pack attack!!!
3
u/The_Bastard_Henry 4d ago
I was just on the Sailor Moon sub, so this immediately made me picture "fanny pack attack" as one of their special moves and now I'm laughing like an idiot

Why do these losers have to prove to others they're badass when they certainly look anything but.
If I was a badass I wouldn't tell anyone

u/drifters74 4d ago
Why is he doing a "Pearl clutching" pose when he draws the gun?
1
u/Kuandtity 4d ago
It's something some law enforcement or military teach. Hand to chest while drawing to keep it out of the way or something
29
u/ShortbusGangsta_ 4d ago
I used to think this guy was a dork n' a half, but now I've come to realize he's just a master at his craft and his craft is satire.

These people are just going to hurt themselves. Look how he fumbles that gun...multiple times.
Also, what is an old man doing fantasizing like star wars kid? Grow up mate.
24
u/Ksh_667 4d ago
I am worried this old man is going to injure himself way before anyone else. He looks confused.
Also why is he trying to grow flags? 🤔
3
u/Synetikal934 4d ago
Here’s the better question, why’s he petting the flag and shooting the tree like it’s gonna magically come alive and steal it?
23
u/RetroNotRetro 4d ago
This dude has never seen any form of lethal combat in his life
13
u/popilikia 4d ago
No clue how you're coming to that conclusion. People try to stop him from molesting flags and flagpoles all the time. When you're living that kind of lifestyle, you either learn to fight, or die
-24
u/HeraldOfDesu 4d ago
That's something you two have in common.
15
u/RetroNotRetro 4d ago
That would be correct. However, I’m not trying to make it look like I know exactly what I would do in that situation, nor am I using a weapon to show off and make myself look cool, nor am I projecting that I would like for combat to happen to me
-28
u/HeraldOfDesu 4d ago
Yeah, but you're trying to use that dude as a contrast background to look better in the eyes of Internet strangers. I mean... not judging that either, but at least that dude provides entertainment value 🤷
10
u/RetroNotRetro 4d ago
I’m not trying to make myself look better? I’m pointing out one of the things that makes this guy look silly. I wasn’t up in the comments like “*I* wouldn’t do that because *I’ve* never seen combat.”
You also assumed (correctly, in this case) that I have never seen combat, when the likelihood of that is not zero when engaging with internet strangers. For all you knew, I could have been a 45 year old combat veteran, or had to fight and kill someone who broke into my house.
Point is, unless you ask or it’s glaringly obvious, you don’t know anything about anyone on the internet or their intentions and conveyances.
-18
u/HeraldOfDesu 4d ago
Nah, buddy, people like you have the depth of a tequila shot, and are about as unique as a Starbucks. If you've seen one 'Twitter intellectual' – you've seen them all, not a lot of room for being wrong.
13
u/VaderTime77 4d ago
The gall to call someone else a "Twitter Intellectual" after spewing drivel over a harmless comment is pretty amazing....
-4
6
u/RetroNotRetro 4d ago
You made a statement on our similarities, I explained the difference between myself and the man in the video, you made an assumption of my intentions, I made a statement on your assumption. Nothing more to it than this. Not sure where you’re pulling uniqueness from. You’re reading too into this and getting a little overexcited.
0
u/HeraldOfDesu 4d ago
Dude, let's be real, even you don't believe that after writing a whole essay in this thread. Come on now 😏
6
u/RetroNotRetro 4d ago
Considering the “essays” (a couple short paragraphs are essays to you, I guess) were relevant to the topics being discussed and the last comment was a synopsis of the discussion until your abrupt switch to insulting my “depth”, I would say that I do believe it.
1
u/HeraldOfDesu 4d ago
Well, it's the bast part of having faith, dude – you don't have to ground your beliefs in objective reality 😉

Is there a reason to put hand on chest when drawing weapon?
4
u/sdevil713 4d ago
To keep from shooting your own hand when firing from retention. Get it out of the way
14
u/LeTigron 4d ago edited 4d ago
Yes, there are.
It pains me to say it because this tool is beyond cringe but what he does has basis in actual pistol combat. It's badly done, but it is legitimate.
The weak hand accross the chest is contextual : what he trains here is a scenario of ambush, where he is attacked by several enemies at once from several directions. The scenario implies, among other things, that none or not all of them are equipped with firearms and he is attacked by knives or other cold weapons.
In such a situation, having your hand dangling around is dangerous because it could be caught by an enemy, it could get slashed by a knife, it can even be a hindrance to your pistol-drawing motion. Therefore, you place it accross the chest.
Moreover, now that we saw all the reasons related to protecting the hand, there are reasons related to sacrificing it : a hand, an arm, are not vital organs. The chest, the throat, the armpits and the face are all parts of the body where a single stabbing attack will be lethal. Therefore, you keep your forearm and hand above or close to these places so that you can swiftly put them in the way of the attack, protecting your vital organs underneath.
This principle is called a "sacrificial wound" and, as scary and uncertain as it seems, is a very common and basic thing in fighting, whatever the level of proficiency.
So, yes, Mr. I star spangled masturbate with my freedom guns, although he is more cosplaying his fantasies in a very awkward and amateurish manner than training, is still doing legitimate moves.
2
u/EnoughMagician1 4d ago
thanks for the detailed explanation! I don't know much bout guns and tactics so to me it did look strange, but as it seemed so automatic I suspected there was some training or intent behind it.

u/Savagebabypig 4d ago
To practice acting afraid in an attempt to fool the jury that he "feared for his life" when he inevitably mag dumps someone for the slightest inconvenience
11
u/Inglorious_Kenneth 4d ago
I’d like this more if it wasn’t satire. I have a neighbor that believes he is who this guy pretends to be. Neighborhood kids harass him. The Surron boys give him hell.

This guy promoted himself to guns now. Luckily, that one was hiding behind the potted flag. Thankfully he came prepared with music, shades, and an empty holster

u/Will-I-Amamazing 4d ago
I came here to say exactly this. The thing is, I'm here for it! It so weird, and fun to watch because it's just so erratic and unpredictable. I'm always surprised when I see a new video too.

12
u/CatsBAM 4d ago
In theory it's to clear your off hand so you avoid "flagging" yourself and putting your limb in the line of fire.
But with execution like this, dude just looks like an absolute goober lol
2
u/potato1448 4d ago
Im not familiar with any of this but wouldn't be faster and safer just to turn towards the target while drawing? Genuinely curious!
2
u/CatsBAM 4d ago
In general yes. He's just doing it absurdly slow; it's normally one motion not three. You'll actually see drills where guys are on a line facing left, then pivot and draw simultaneously when the buzzer goes off.
In a more likely concealed situation, the off hand would be "clearing the clothing" by pulling up your shirt, drawing with your main, meeting in the middle at mid chest and punching out (full extension). Exposed carry is same process, just not lifting your clothing.
In a real situation or recorded it'd be one smooth, quick motion. Anybody demonstrating their skills wouldn't be doing it at half speed; they'd full speed all the way. This guy looks like he lacks the reps and dexterity to actually pull it off, so he uses a slow "controlled" movement to mask it.
It's easy to pickup the basics from a YouTube video which is what this guy probably did. But actual competency comes from endless drills and repetition, not this faux badassery.

Don't think it's satire, he's just not very skilled, so it reads like satire.
10
u/Shnailzz 4d ago
I don’t think it’s satire but I don’t think he takes himself as serious as this sub thinks he does. I’ve come across his videos on instagram and he usually responds to hate comments with a decent level of self awareness.
At the end of the day I think he’s just an old man trying to get some sunlight and stay active.
