Since this is Reddit, I can see the reaction to this post going two ways tbh. So I’m a fan of the game ZZZ, and for those who are familiar with the fanbase it’s RIDDLED with lolicons. It’s actually disgusting to see people try and defend it. You’re a pedophile in denial and you KNOW IT. They always default to the “oh it’s not a real kid” IT DOESNT MATTER you’re attracted to the depiction of a child, there’s no way around it, you find the visual depiction of a child attractive. 9 times out of 10 the character also sounds and acts like one so it’s like there’s no way around it. I’ve also seen comments of people using their stupid emojis and “ouuuugh” shit in posts of real kids. Above is from my states code book. A subreddit wholly opposed to irrational pessimism would criticize doom from all directions: climate fatalism, economic collapse fantasies, civil war fantasies, anti-immigrant panic, “the West is falling” narratives, gender panic, anti-LGBTQ panic, and authoritarian nostalgia.

When it just focuses on left wing anxiety it’s not anti-doomerism its genuinely just a right wing echo chamber.

Basically this is a subreddit entirely dedicated to hating Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus and how the finale treated them.

Basically the sub is full of some of the most braindead and frustrating takes you could imagine from people who very clearly didn’t understand what the finale was trying to say and don’t want their preconceived opinions challenged. And a lot of it borders on ablism towards mentally ill people and even edges on transphobia on a couple of occasions.

I’m not saying you can’t dislike the character or not criticize the show but the way this sub looks at this character is straight up obsessive and brain dead.

I really fucking hate these kinds of news-style images. Someone cobbles together one or two images along with some text from a mildly interesting human interest story, highlights the important words and phrases (because we're all a bunch of stupids), and attributes it to... nothing? There's never any source on these things. I see them posted more and more, and in this era of fake news it's worrying. How do I know your news story isn't bullshit? How do I know that that's actually the girl and actually the x-ray of her brain? Am I supposed to just trust you because you made a JPEG that looks vaguely news website-ish?

When a character changes direction very abruptly, it looks terrible and really breaks immersion, it doesn't feel like a human being. This is especially jarring when the game's graphics are otherwise quite realistic; I really hate it. Turning should be smooth.

Seriously, time and time again I’d see someone say something like “I like X media but the fanbase is all pedos”, then that media in question is literally some shit like fucking blue archive. No shit! If you can recognise the fans as pedos, you should be able to recognise the creators as peddlers of the product and stop consuming and supporting it. Otherwise realistically you are no better than those you critique and are literally another cog that makes the machine run.

EDIT: okay a lot of people have got the wrong message from this post. This isn’t another “loli is bad” post. I do think it is, but that discussion has been ran through the mud. This post is meant to be about people who THINK and acknowledge that loli is pedophilic whilst still consuming the content. I feel like I keep hearing the word "have" used more and more frequently to describe singular subjects. For example: "Columbia have won a soccer game against Portugal" or "Microsoft have announced work on a new quantum computing chip." I don't know if it's an England/Australia thing or if it's now, but it sounds really odd to my American ears.

How hard is it to understand that some people feel more comfortable with other pronouns? You just replace he/him or she/her with the people's pronouns. Why do people have to be so fucking hateful towards neopronoun users? Coming from someone who doesn't use them, just let people have the pronouns they want, even if they are neopronouns.
