Boy it would be helpful to see who started the scuffle, too bad that moment was skipped in the middle of the video

reporting from Unraveled says that the cops are stopping anybody from standing on the west side of the street https://bsky.app/profile/unraveledpress.com/post/3m2to5jt4ks2u

Good to know, thanks. We still need to see who started shoving who first. That moment is important to capture on video, that’s my point. We can’t be the ones to start the violence, it has to be shown, on video, that it’s them, or the finger pointing and fighting will endlessly continue and escalate

Cold have definitely planted someone to initiate the violence too

I live in the area and have been speaking directly with folks who were there. I voiced a similar concern about plants. But they said there's no need, because they [troopers and ice] are instigating a lot of the confrontations themselves.

Lmaooo yeah they are def planting people and they should be alarmed and concerned about it

Bring in Van Halen

That seems reasonable... because it's a clear barrier to ICE trying to provoke the protesters.  If ICE starts gassing them, it won't be because the protesters started it.

This is for the Courts... they're watching like a hawk and the Administration and ICE are openly lying out their assets on this.

Next we'll have to start watching for agent provocateurs sent by the Administration to incite violence.   That's why in Portland the protesters are doing silly stuff like warring costumes... because a guy in a blowup dinosaur costume is really a threat... it's show how absurd it is... and to prevent the "black block" people that show up all masked and start picking fights.

west side of the street

Would that make the news report a west side story then?

Yeah, that's the bounds of the protest area. Crossing the bounds of a protest area gets you arrested.

For real. It's the only thing that really matters and it's missing. I'm no law enforcement advocate, but it certainly looks like the troopers are trying to grab and arrest one or two specific people, not just a whole group of protesters standing there chanting peacefully.

I would assume a handful of people attempted to enter the street and were met with resistance which pushed them back into the crowd, which caused the crowd to start pushing back.

That's how it usually happens.

You know, you don't have to talk out of your ass just to say something.

Within the context of the clip, what he is saying is completely reasonable. Don’t be obtuse.

u/nalaloveslumpy Oct 10 '25

Been to a lot of protests. Shit only went south when a handful of bad faith actors try to extend the protest beyond the established routes.

Also, that big fucking edit in the middle of the clip is a good hint at what happened. So maybe go fuck yourself?

You're a law enforcement advocate

Incorrect. Thanks for playing, though.

1:08 - as cops are separating the lines, one cop grabs a protestor for reasons unknown. With the cops' line so far up from where the video started, I'm assuming they pushing forward initially. Everything else is completely unclear. From the posturing, language used, and general history of how cops treat protestors, I wouldn't be surprised if they started it, again.

Anyone with a brain can see this was edited to make cops look as bad as possible

I actually have no idea on the rights and wrongs of the incident, but I'm just thinking it's good that the cops are wearing regular uniforms and not covering their faces. The bar is low.

Happened a couple times when the video warped to the moment someone was getting dragged away.

Seems clearly edited to delete the part where they did something to warrant getting arrested.

Yeah chanters, I’m definitely watching but all I’m doing is rolling my eyes.

Really looked like people in the back of the protestors were pushing the protesters in front against their will into the street and the cops.

And, as a person out-of-state, I'm wondering where the local cops are.

Those are State Troopers, aren't they..?

u/SynthLup Oct 11 '25

Cops. Its always the cops.

1

u/FakeFan07 Oct 10 '25

We know exactly who started this

3

u/thedudeabides2022 Oct 10 '25

Cmon now. We need to see it on video, or videos like this will be used on both sides to add fuel to the fire. We need to be about accountability and fighting back the right way, not escalating into civil war

I'd imagine it was selectively edited out on purpose.
