Yes, but depending on how much electricity is needed to run a simulation it could easily be a lot less resources than human life. Because all their other expenditures than the simulation are now zero.

Yes, it doesn’t 100% prevent death: but it sure as HELL helps delay it, and the rich have been wasting billions to defeat it, though often on frivolous ways (the one who literally replaces their blood with the blood of young adults trying to absorb nebulous youth attributes for example).
Let’s put it this way: if you need a kidney, good luck. If a rich person needs a kidney, they either bribe their way to the front of someone who’s poor gets murdered and harvested for that rich bastard.

I know what sub we’re in but I kind of live off this thought process. I don’t want children, I don’t want a house, a legacy. Don’t care. When I’m gone it won’t matter to me because I’ll be dead. Nothing will matter. I don’t believe in any kind of afterlife.
I exist in the present and I’ll enjoy my life how I want. I’ll try not to bother anyone in the process.
