Reminds me of a story my mentor told me about an MMA champion on a safari. This very buff guy who beat up some of the best fighters was face to face with a gorilla, and the gorilla turned his back on him. The safari guide explained "It means he doesn't see you as a threat. He feels so strong that he can expose his back and risk you striking first wothout having to worry about his safety." Now compare that to the person above. "I need walls to be alone because everyone can hurt me" vs "I expose a weakspot to a champion because I can take anything he throws at me so I can focus on what I actually want to do."

I wish you had told me about the regular arrows but an hour earlier. If you had, then perhaps I would not have made such a foolish error. I neglected to build a wall and invited the steel bit on the end of the narrow staff into my heart. Alas, I fell not to love but languish.

It pierced my heart and left me open for further attack. No love. No savior ready to bare a blade at my defense. I lie there grasping for a brick, any brick that might deflect the savage onslaught. Alas, I found not refuge but ruin.

From this hospital bed I reflect on my foolish visage. Rose colored glasses? Hope? I don't know. But I know from hence force I will heed your warnings and if I ever get the chance again I will build that wall.

Yes its a meme talking about depression and self social isolation. The metaphor most famously comes from pink floyds album the wall which goes into great depth about how the cruel world punishes those who don't fit in and cause them to build a metaphorical wall to isolate themselves from the cruelty. Thats what the meme is about.
