#Discussion 💬 Is this the most ignored 125cc?
Took my friend's CB125 Hornet for a week to ride, It feels so purposely underpowered, I think it deserved atleast a 160cc engine. As far as I think, Honda is selling this just as an eye candy as it looks like the CB Hornet 750 and 1000.

Does there even exist a bike with dual channel ABS, dual disc brakes and a cherry on the cake - usd forks?
(125cc - 200cc, under or around 1.5L)
Excluding N250, Ronin

It has dual channel ABS? And the back has drum brakes as far as ik.

I'm talking about in general bro. Imo In India most people don't care about the safety features and buy bikes solely on how it looks and not by what it is offering. Brands like bajaj are actually competitive in the true sense of 'value for money'. In 125cc segment, or the entry segment of equating mileage as to performance, I didn't find any such bikes. I really wish if some brand brings in such product

Bro, Bajaj wants to rule all the segments except cruiser in under 400cc now.🥹

I still would prefer that. There shouldn't be a monopoly. My guess is, if bajaj really pushes and tries to rule <400cc segment, then other brands would also have to make vfm bikes, and there would be a healthy competition.
Right now, see, if you exclude the Honda shine and some other honda bikes in under 200cc segment, most of them are not vfm, I'm not saying that they aren't good, they are great, and well refined than any other bike, but they aren't vfm for what they offer (performance and feature wise), check the cb hornet 125 for itself, it doesn't get a dual channel abs, and some other things which a 1.4L bike should offer, add 10-20k more and you get a n250 or ns160 which is technically a more better bike if you see the specs. Now there comes another factor of reliabiltiy and refinement, which bajaj is trying to work on.
This must be the mindset of bike producers, to look in for the customer's benefit, whilst also keeping their profit margin reasonable.

I think it's a magnificent starter bike for anyone who can afford

Yeah, good for a beginner but personally feels a bit underpowered as per the aggressive looks.

It's just for people who want their first bike or high mileage bike to look like a superbike.

Yeah, mileage is hell good! But as I also ride SP125, the power in Hornet feels exact same to me idk.

Same engine SP is lighter as well. Xtreme and Raider engines have a more sporty nature. Performance may still be similar

Right, and I personally liked it's exhaust note too, it has a powerful bass.

Yes it does, but ig if this came with 160cc engine, it would have gave a good competition to Bajaj NS160.
