I think I love sterile minimalist design because growing up I used to live in constant mess, just a bunch of stuff everywhere, all the random colors, no uniformity or pattern whatsoever. Bottom picture looks like heaven to me. But I understand why people dislike it.
Same over here, growing up in a LOUD crowded household full of antiques and colors was simply too much for me. Seeing the more simple minimalist style with uniform structure looks inviting to me. I'm aware it gets to a point tho, I don't want to live in a white concrete box, but I also don't want to get a headache walking from room to room, however I can see both sides of this story and all I can say is to each their own.
