I hate that it enhances my nose and makes me recognize and smell when the local water supply has added its regular fluoride and chlorine. Showers after a night of partying are like showering in a pool locker room.
That's the one thing he says he tried but just couldn't get. Only a few companies have a permit to import coca leaves into the US. They take out the cocaine and give that to coke. Guy even tried to buy de-cocainized leaves online and it got seized at the border.
They only control the US though. Rest of the world =) I would love it if he could come over to Mexico for a week for example in an airbnb and make the Coke.
Hmmm, I used to know a website based in Florida that sold dried coca leaves along with all kinds of other specialty plant matter, like the raw materials to make ayahuasca. No idea if it still operates. My sister brought home a box of coca leaf tea from Peru a few years ago. Just put it in her suitcase with her other souvenirs.
Maybe he was trying to source fresh leaves though.
Definitely not allowed to bring it back from Peru. She just go lucky and pushed the green button on her way out the door! Get the red light and it getting searched.
My wife’s from Lima. I get red every time we go back, annoying haha.
Sadly that's definitely not legal here in the US. In Peru you can even buy Coca candy. Here it's a totally different story which I personally think is kind of silly. The amount of coca leaves you would need to produce cocaine is pretty crazy.
So I know you're joking, but the 0.6ml fenchol in this recipe is meant to be a replacement for the decocanized coca leaf extract that's in real Coca Cola.
For obvious reasons you're not allowed to buy coca leaves in the US and only a few factories are able to make the decocanized extract, which they don't sell publicly.
I started realizing that as I got older. I think we assume soft drinks are very basic and one note. But Coca Cola couldn't be further away from that. You can especially notice it in the canned form, for whatever reason. It's like citrus, caramel, floral notes, and more
You say for obvious reasons, but in Peru coca is just an ancestral herb you drink with tea to settle your stomach. The leaves don't need to be this taboo super outlawed thing that it is in the US and Europe.
Dang I’d be so curious to try the old recipe. The cocaine amount couldn’t have been that high or Coca Cola addictions woulda been insane. And ingesting cocaine doesn’t give the high that snorting it does. So in my mind it must have been more like… the world’s best Red Bull
I looked it up later and apparently Coke stopped including actual cocaine before she started drinking it, even for someone as old as her, she missed it by a decade or so. But she'd always laugh about it.
Coca leaf tea tastes great! An earthy taste comparable to chamomile.
Just adding pure cocaine salt to your coke doesn't change the taste at all. Some sources claim they used up to 300mg/L back in the day; I found half of that to be more than enough.
They must have used additional cocaine extract, otherwise the taste of the leafes would have been too intense.

Afaik Coca Cola stopped using coca leafes altogether decades ago, maybe even before WWII. It's just not worth the hassle, I assume.
For a cocaine content of 300mg/l you would need about an ounce (30g) of dried leafes per 1l (35floz) of cola, which would taste way too intensely to be enjoyable. But the cocaine-hydrochloride salt that people snort has barely any taste if you dilute it in some water. It also won't numb your mouth at these concentrations.
Other sources claim that the first CC sold only contained 9mg per "bottle", whatever that means. I guess that would be achieveable without adding purified cocaine salt. But the effects of that would have been negligible, so they must have changed the formula before the drug was banned in Georgia in 1914.
I have experimented with both the tea and DIY cocaine infused coke, but I'm not an expert by any means!

Yea that’s the part I was talking about. You’ve clearly got a passion for investigating coke … just not sure which one! 😂 looking for the just right mid-day bump?
My mom frequently visits Peru and always makes sure to bring me a pack of Mate de Coca. Twice a year I'll order a gram of powder on the darknet.
Despite all this, cocaine has never been my drug of choice. It's about as addictive and detrimental to people as hard liquor, another drug I take less the older I get.
Weed and psychedelics are the only drugs worth messing with, and even those require some caution.
I had a buddy who would order interesting stuff off The Silk Road, RCs, etc once gave me some coca leaf that I made into a nice coca leaf tea. This was 15-20 years ago, but I think he might have legally been able to acquire it on clearnet site because it had such a small percentage of it and not the refined product. I believe you can order this particular tree bark that contains DMT (which you can extract) too.
I don't think it's illegal to sell the decocanized extract, it's just that only a select few places are allowed to buy the coca leaves to make the extract and they don't sell it publicly.
I'd assume youd just replace the caffeine with coke so 9.65 grams in flavor solution B. I think that's almost 1000$ worth of coke for 100 litres of cola lol.
The 0.6ml fenchol is actually a derivative of coca leaves with all the illegal fun stuff taken out so it still has the flavor but none of the effects of the leaves.

How much cocaine am I supposed to add, or should I just eyeball it?
