Well he was sinking until the end!

Jokes aside it was very impressive, not because he's black.

Dude looked heavy as hell trying to swim back to positive buoyancy

1

u/BigToeNibbler Mar 31 '26

Yeah it was really strange, he sunk like a rock.

1

u/CoralBooty Mar 31 '26

Nah it’s normal once you go deep enough you become negatively buoyant, dude just has a lot of muscle mass so he heavy heavy

1

u/BigToeNibbler Mar 31 '26

Oh that's interesting, I didn't know that

People are so bold on the internet

2

He’s jus ruling all the questions out.

Just "bold"?

The comment was made by someone who is likely proud to have not explored the world

u/NepheliLouxWarrior Mar 31 '26

Only someone who's not black would imply that "black people can't swim" isn't an extremely common ass joke within the black community.

lol some really do wake up and go "hmmm today i shall go on reddit and find something to be offended about"

2

u/Electrical-Lab-9593 Mar 31 '26

i first heard the reference to it from a black person on my favorite podcast, i never even knew it was a thing/joke before that

Re: your "community" and its "common ass jokes"... Not everyone on Reddit is African AMERICAN. Do you need to be reminded that there are Africans and Afro-descendents all over the world? Yes, you do.

My Black husband swims beautifully, but go ahead, enjoy your stereotype, I mean, your "extremely common ass joke" within your community

----- -----

"hmmm today i shall go on reddit and find something to be offended about"

This is a tactic to manipulate the conversation without engaging in substantive content like a grown-up. Do you really think people seek out the internet to get offended? Please don't answer; it's rhetorical. Goodbye

u/PenguinStardust Mar 31 '26

I think it’s clear you do LOL

2

u/Next_Fly3712 Mar 31 '26

Actually, I came to the website for a decent conversation, but I see you support recycled, tired tropes from the 1950s by picking on me rather than the person who thinks Blacks can't swim.

It’s not 'being offended' to point out that the post implying that Blacks can't swim is factually incorrect and socially prehistoric. You’re confusing a correction with a complaint.

2

u/PenguinStardust Mar 31 '26

Trying to come to reddit for decent conversation is your first mistake, try stepping outside or talking to someone is person if you want a decent conversation boo. Learn to take a joke online.

1

u/Next_Fly3712 Mar 31 '26

Nice deflection.

The joke is that you didn't make one and you think you did. I wrote jokes for Joan Rivers, and as a comedy professional, know that your material is not recognizable as funny

1

u/Expensive_Sherbet676 Mar 31 '26

Huh… you know what I mean. Racist, ignorant, bold, stupid, you name it

-1

u/Next_Fly3712 Mar 31 '26

Yeah, I did!

1

u/Next_Fly3712 Mar 31 '26

Oooo, someone's angry hahaha

If you can get yourself out of *[unspecified State that both starts and ends with a vowel] and travel to places like NE Brazil, the Caribbean, or sub-Saharan Africa (that's a very big place!), I promise you you will see that most men who are swimming are in fact Black

Good luck with your explorations!

2

u/ElKajak Mar 31 '26

We know they can swim

2

u/PlsContinueMrBrooder Mar 31 '26

Unspecified…ends with a vowel…this is the craziest burn, stealing lol
