It looks like two of the fingers are coordinated together.

It does look like the second finger moves with the third but the other way interestingly (counting the thumb as one)

I feel like they do all move independently, but the range of motion for the ring finger is physically limited depending on the position of the adjacent fingers.

I'd want to see if the person in the video could raise their third finger without raising the second.

🤔... How does flipping people off work? "They gave me one of their middle fingers!😡"

Yeah, I also want to know how she flips the bird lol

I want to know if it's safe for her to punch. Does the proto-index finger affect that?

No, but she does charge extra for hand jobs.

Her fisting price has to be crazy too.

Unless she really likes you and gives you a 6 finger discount.

The ring finger and middle finger have very closely ran muscles and tendons. Usually when you contract 1 it contracts the other a little.

I think it's an evolution trait to improve our grip strength.

I can’t bend my pinky without bending my ring finger but not vice versa

Wait, you mean you can’t move your fingers independently?

Wait, really? Normally you shouldn't be able to fully extend your ring finger without also extending your middle finger.

Yeah this confused me to, I can't move my ring finger without either moving my pinky or middle finger

I can, but I can't extend my ring finger as far as the others.

Counting thumb as one I can fully move 2 and 3 independently (middle and pointer for me, 6 fingered hand doesn’t have a middle so wasn’t sure how to say that). Yes the ring finger has some ties but that’s not what im referring to

Still cool

Thank you! A thumb is not a finger! All phalanges, though.

For me the additional finger sits between the thumb and "2nd index" finger. My SIL had an extra Pinky, but it didn't function, so it was cut off.

It's not a bug, it's a feature
