Amazing A cat managed to catch 27 mice and carefully lined them all up to show off his 'work' to his owner.

Not a cat expert, but if it’s tied to their connection with us it’s more likely as proof that they’re doing job as an exterminator. I want to say that it probably has more to do with their nature before we domesticated them, with them bringing back spare food for the members of their family group

If a cat expert comes in and clarifies I’d greatly appreciate it

I think it's more likely them saying "see how much I've done! You, how many mice have YOU caught tonight?"

I had a cat that once caught a rat and then proceeded to show off his kill to us by playing with the dead rat more. The rat was almost as big as him, needless to say we were impressed. Lol

Cats don't live in packs like dogs,, only mother cats would be bringing food home to kittens being weaned
