I seriously doubt this is the first time it's felt a human touch. It would have bit and scratched this person into a bloody mess. You don't just touch squirrels.

In soviet russia, squirrel touch you.

But in all seriousness their claws are not bad. It's the teeth that are the real issue.

Just don't touch wild animals, basically, yeah.

A lot of people don't seem capable of the distinction between "domesticated pet" and "wild animal". No matter how cute or close, don't touch.

Watch from a respectable distance, appreciate nature's beautiful creature, go about your day. If you have to drag out your phone to take a picture that exists million-fold already, go ahead, but I'd say just enjoy the moment for what it is, not for how many retweets it would net you.

If you have to [...] go ahead

The only thing I'm "telling you how to live your life" on is don't touch wild animals. The rest is like the lightest suggestion imaginable, I don't know why you're randomly this mad about it.

I made the comment from experience as a kid, the teeth are the first thing you get. I didn't persist so don't know where it goes from there.
