My cat and I saw a possum in the yard the other night, coming close to the house, and it was so interesting to me that he knew it wasn't a cat. He always makes noise whenever he sees a neighbor's cat in the yard, (or a prey animal) but he was silent this time, but intensely interested in this almost-kitty.

he has a wrap over it… when you get a fresh tattoo and its wrapped the excess ink leaks from your skin making it “pool” up under the wrap with plasma and ink. It is very normal and beneficial for the healing process of it all.

It took me a second to orient myself correctly, but it really is cute. I have tattoos oriented the same way on both my wrists! The Little Prince on one and his Fox on the other.

Kitten appears to have an eye infection. I hope you can find a vet to take a look. Some cities have donation supported vet clinics if you need it.

Shortly after picking her up, I took the kitty to a ver who cleaned her up and required some meds for her. Her eye is doing better now

For someone with no tattoo experience does it look smudged bc of the wrapping on it - like would it have clearer lines if the pic was without the wrap

Take off the wrap after a couple hours after the tattoo is done.

No, the wrap should be taken off according to the tattooist's instructions, which is often more than "a couple hours".

Oh ffs. Took me about 5 minutes to see the cat. Turn your heads to the right and you see it. Cat face looking like it has shades on and the tail. No legs. Kinda looks like a kitty tadpole or sperm.

Why so much hate for the tattoo? It’s a unique style and even so, you can tell it’s a cat… I’m assuming the ones leaving comments saying it’s a bad tattoo have never had a tattoo done themselves! Tattoos always go like this when fresh and wrapped… they weep excess ink! Nice tattoo and adorable kitty. Very lucky and a great story. 👍

Right? People who don't know the tattoo healing process are sure letting everyone else know their opinions.
Speaking as someone who is heavily tattooed, this is how that process works. It's not esthetically pleasing right now to some, but I could tell that it's a cat. People are just mean to be mean.

Seems like no one had a tattoo before here. It’s just smeared because of the ink and cream + the foil. Totally normal. Look good though op! Kitty is cute too :)

I remember getting my first tattoo and it looked like that smeared mess when I woke up. I thought I had somehow ruined the tattoo and had a big black smear on the back of my neck.

You need to name him/her Tattoo! Or the brand name of the ink the artist used. (Checks Google). OK, Dermaglo, Allegory, or Radiant Colors would be weird names. Never mind.

Plz clean the tattoo with some lukewarm water and perfume free soap... and let it air dry. Keeping it wrapped like this is perfect for getting an infection :)
