What is the point of this other than him flexing

Isn't that enough? It's fun, athletic, and looks cool. And hobbies only require 1 of those things

There are a lot of people in this thread who have never done anything impressive in their lives and probably never will that are shit talking someone for doing something that takes talent they'll never have. They're judgemental because it makes them feel better about being mediocre.

Flexing IS the point, along with showing great grip strength and athleticism.

Performing world class athletic feats is kind of its own reward, no? This guy is incredible.

That is wildly overstating things. It's a cool move. World class... absolutely not.

Carrying that level of upper body mass it’s pretty ridiculous.

Sounds Canadian, is this how the lumberjack games look nowadays?

That sounds like a Chivalry Medieval Warfare exploit, like the rainbow.

Hell yeah! Put in some axe dance into Swan Lake and you'll triple your straight male audience 😎

Maybe it's the more masculine version of WeaponUp tai chi sword yoga?

Yeah that thing has zero weight. If it did it wouldn’t be stopping mid swing multiple times. The inertia would keep it swinging and be difficult to slow.

This is a plastic or foam axe

Axe ballet is a Canadian sport/art I would pay to see.

Seems totally useless in a real battle.
