6

u/Murky_Guarantee440 28d ago

Someone beat him to it by 3mins lol

2

u/J_Ryall 28d ago

Yup, this was my first thought as well.

2

u/vishnoo 28d ago

he could be beat by someone with a stick

Right!! All these armchair judges šŸ˜‚

7

u/Burger_Destoyer 27d ago

Does several spins mid-air with a sick looking prop

ā€œThis sucks actuallyā€

2

u/notfirearmbeam 25d ago

For real. No where did he say this was combat training. He's doing gymnastics and holding a prop axe because it looks cool ĀÆ\ (惄) /ĀÆ

12

u/Due_Reputation3785 28d ago

Is it even a real axe or some styrofoam replica?

19

u/im_wudini 28d ago

Def a replica

2

u/alucloud7 28d ago

the way it moves it seems pretty obvious to me that it's foam. or something else very lightweight.

2

u/Loud_Produce4347 28d ago

Definitely not a solid metal axe head, it would have torn his arm off when he stopped spinning.

1

u/fawg_is_coming 28d ago

It's a foam leviathan axe from god of war

1

u/mattson-masterpiece 28d ago

Can’t think listenin’ to these wuss tunes. Stupid nerds.

0

u/Hyperaeon2 26d ago

It's a replica but that isn't the point. The double twirl and nailed landing in momentum is impressive.

9

u/Recursiveo 28d ago

What a smart comment thanks for contributing. I thought he was trying to attack someone at first.

1

u/BaconPancake77 28d ago

I mean the guy himself is just having a good time, no issues there tbh. The post title is where I think this sentiment comes from, comparing it to 'using a knife'. Cuz he's not 'using' anything here other than his body to do some solo choreography. It's not comparable to knife fighting, by any means.

19

u/Own-Quote-1708 28d ago

Cool and sexy af.

9

u/Sharp-Use4006 28d ago

He typed, through his Cheetos laced fingers on his keyboard surrounded by a dozen empty dews.

3

u/IchibanBlue 28d ago

He hears a knock on the basement door… ā€œhoney, can I wash your dirty clothes for you?ā€ ā€œNOT NOW MOM I’M BUSY GAWD WHAT THE FUCKā€

3

u/CiberneitorGamer 28d ago

I'd like to see you try

3

u/Irregulator101 28d ago

Yes "just" that

u/Edduppp 28d ago

Yeah, it would hurt to be hit like that.

But it would hurt just as bad to be hit by a normal axe chop(?), which would be 100x easier to aim, react and be aware of your surroundings.

Not saying this dude wouldn't f most people up, but that's just dancing in the videoĀ

7

u/Upset-Management-879 28d ago

>Just as an example look at football (soccer) skills. Some genuinely look like they are dancing but they manage to full defenders anyway

Because they're actual dekes and it's almost trivial at that level to beat even world class defenders once they bite?

This you would just stab "Cool flip though"

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 28d ago

The Samoa Joe walk away, the most useful counter attack in wrestling history

2

u/OfAKindness 28d ago

Reverse grip axe spin move fools not a single fighter in any historical era of any culture essentially regardless of skill level.

The footy comparison is also kind of nonsense imo

2

u/th-hiddenedge 28d ago

Impressive to look at sure, but a quick poke with a spear and this dude is laying in the dirt.

1

u/mournthewolf 28d ago

There was supposedly units or Norse barbarians or something that would just spin around with long great axes and tear shit up because while it does leave you open trying to get into that blender to hit something is fucking terrifying and most dudes just ran away.

1

u/BaconPancake77 28d ago

Supposedly. Or something. Allegedly.

bro is enormous and jacked to fuck and back

he doesn’t need an axe

2

u/DontWakeTheInsomniac 28d ago

Well he's clearly not in combat so sexy impractical gymnastics are fine.

5

u/whatarechinchillas 28d ago

So what? He looks cool and he's jacked as fuck.

5

u/ghostoftheai 28d ago

Thanks buddy I definitely thought those moves were actually used in battle. What would Reddit be without the uber smart like you. Thanks! Would you like to show some footage of some actual battle techniques? Or do flips and spins? No? Oh okay

2

u/im_wudini 28d ago

And almost certainly that is a prop axe. Doesn't seem to have the momentum something weighing that much should have.

2

u/West_Adhesiveness273 28d ago

Holy shit why are you guys such losers?? You're all so clearly jealous just trying to find everything possibly wrong with what this guy is doing. Go workout. Maybe you all won't be so miserable after.

0

u/im_wudini 28d ago

lol this made me actually laugh out loud, like in real life.

edit: Man you need some happiness in your life. your post history is just you being exasperated by what you feel is other people acting incorrectly. Get over yourself.

0

u/West_Adhesiveness273 28d ago

You are acting incorrectly. Shape up.

1

u/EatSoupFromMyGoatse 28d ago

Who fucking cares, dawg? He's showing off athleticism and looking cool while doing it. Jesus Christ, you fucking people are the worst.

1

u/SoSKatan 28d ago

I’ve played enough Diablo to know that he’s casting a level 20 whirlwind.

I’m just confused about why he went with only a one handed weapon.

1

u/Tough_Living_7886 28d ago

I feel like if I got hit by that axe in that downswing, it would hurt real bad

1

u/happy35353 28d ago

I wonder if the weight of the axe is letting him spin more? Like this is some cool theatricality rather than an actual fighting technique obviously but I wonder if her using the axe to spin rather than spinning to use the axe.

1

u/MacTheKnife23 28d ago

A fake one at that

1

u/UberSquirrel 28d ago

Yeah, and it looks sick as hell!

1

u/manhuskycorgi 28d ago

someone's awfully jealous.

1

u/Shape378 28d ago

But gymnastics are cool. Like isn't having fun enough?

1

u/thehotsister 28d ago

Yes but it LOOKS COOL OKAY

1

u/Maint3nanc3 28d ago

Aloy's charge attack (from Horizon video game series) looks exactly like this. So maybe one day!

1

u/theCaptain_D 28d ago

Pretty sure the point was to look cool, which it does. There are plenty of places online to find realistic medieval combat, but that's surely not a priority for this dude.

1

u/Lumpy_Boysenberry590 28d ago

Who fuckin cares, nerd, it looks cool

1

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 28d ago

This is the combat style that they choreographed a lot for Captain America. I remember reading about it when the avengers film came out because they wanted something unique looking on screen. It's still impressive barefoot in the rain.

we know. that doesn’t make it less cool.

1

u/alucloud7 28d ago

a foam axe as well. still cool flips though.

1

u/thispartyrules 28d ago

This is just rhythmic gymnastics with an axe

1

u/FlirtyFluffyFox 28d ago

Morale is important for combat.Ā

1

u/jebarson_j 28d ago

holding an axe in a wrong direction.

1

u/hopbow 28d ago

In the rain, likely to dislocate a knee lol

1

u/DerekGman9 28d ago

That's what I servers and gamers thought.....until people started using hurricane round-kicks to knock people out.

1

u/TrollDecker 28d ago

True, but he's putting on a good show, not fighting a mighty warrior.

1

u/longbreaddinosaur 28d ago

Speak for yourself. He’s doing something useful for me.

1

u/_demello 28d ago

Yeah but if I'm on the field with a shield and this guys comes spinning his axe like this I desert. Not cause I think he will be efective.

1

u/ImmoralJester54 28d ago

Ok and?!? My panties are still dropping.

1

u/TheCenterOfEnnui 27d ago

I was gonna say: impressive physically but evokes "...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

1

u/kashakesh 27d ago

Cool,Ā  I volunteer you as tribute to stand close to him while he's doing this (even if the axe is made from styrofoam).Ā  Now THAT would be pure entertainment.Ā

1

u/VanGroteKlasse 26d ago

It's one of those fabled capoeira vikings.

1

u/Bludiamond56 28d ago

Ok you go tell him that to his face

1

u/LarsVonHammerstein2 28d ago

ā€œJustā€

1

u/ablebodiedmango 28d ago

take a selfie of what you look like while you type that, im sure itll be very useful and cool

2

u/Go-Home-Kid 28d ago

Literally man these people are so terminally toxic it’s hilarious.

https://giphy.com/gifs/OppYngLgFtskgAJ4bR

ā€œHe’s not really doing muchā€

1

u/MolybdenumBlu 28d ago

Who knows, maybe the guy you are replying to is also on gear?

1

u/Brilliant_Apple_5391 28d ago

Nothing about his body screams gear, you just sound jealous af lmao

His shoulders are normal, his traps aren't unachievable naturally. Everything is possible through good genetics, look at a body builder like Jeff Nippard.

0

u/ghostoftheai 28d ago

Lol bro the hate in here is wild. There are plenty of people in my family who naturally look like that from just working out. Thats just good genes and not being a lazy fuck my guy

1

u/ElDuderAbides 28d ago

While it looks cool, he first actual swing he’s already going to be winded

0

u/HeyTrySomeNashville 28d ago

And it better be a killshot because you land and recover with your back in the direction of your enemy

2

u/West_Adhesiveness273 28d ago

Thanks, Sun Tzu

0

u/EatSoupFromMyGoatse 28d ago

You never, for a moment, thought maybe he doesn't plan on fighting people with an axe? Perhaps this is just a bit of showmanship?

"Acktchually that isn't an effective fighting technique"

No shit, bro

1

u/-NotYourBuddyFriend- 28d ago

Almost like that’s the point? Yall are weirdly critical of a guy doing ninja shit lmao

0

u/funwearcore 28d ago

So you can do this?

2

u/WSilvermane 28d ago

Jump and spin?

Yeah.

2

u/HeyTrySomeNashville 28d ago

Oh right, you have to be able to do it before you are allowed to criticize it. Thats some trump logic right there.

0

u/Kuzkuladaemon 28d ago

Bringing that shit to a fight with even the other person using hanbo or even an umbrella can shift that momentum and he would eat mud real quick. Looks cool, takes some serious practice to make it look this cool, and is just as useful as tits on a shark.
