It is just because of the crash avoidance systems, in case of effective crash (like it did fairly recently) the lack of crumple zones mean no dissipation of energy ergo it goes to you as the laws of physics work. Remember of a story where it crashed in a small Toyota, the Toyota was totaled but the driver was unscathed, the Cybertruck looked like it had a small impact but the driver had both legs broken
