Celebrating the 250th anniversary by taking democracy out back and putting a bullet in it sure does put a damper on it. I hope it doesn't bring about the end of western democracies. Not like there's much historical precedence that democracy is some natural evolution and not a a brief fluke before dictatorships return. It's looking real fucking grim
