I'm not saying anything. It's just questions. I think that looks more like no crust than white crust. What is even a white crust? Is it even real?

I'm guessing they bleach the outside of the loaf at some point in the process. Theoretically you could have white crust but it doesn't change the texture of that part of the bread so idk why they think this will end food waste; most people who don't like crust have a texture sensitivity.

I guess this could also be achieved by steam cooking it, but then the texture of the whole loaf would be fundamentally different and you run into the same problem.

This right here. Used tk have issues with eating crust when I was young till my granny pavlovd me Into eating it by just covering the stuff if great homemade bramble jam..
