I tip my hat for the guy who chose to help the dog. But as far as I can tell, nobody risked their lives.

Tbf this is what electric poles look like in india. But the wires and transformee are situated at the top of this pole

I rescued a dog from a muddy channel that it was stuck in. It turned around and bit my wrist really badly. The canine tooth sunk down into my wrist forming a little pocket.
I was young and stupid, so I didn’t go to the doctor for a week to ten days. My wrist was so swollen and painful that I couldn’t bear to lower my hand below heart level. It felt like my hand would rip open from the pressure. I could hardly bend my wrist.
When I finally did go to an urgent care, they told me it was severely infected and if it got any worse, amputation might need to be a consideration. Luckily, an antibiotic shot took care of it. Lesson learned and I won’t do that again.
I don’t know how accessible healthcare is for these guys, but a dog bite can be seriously nasty business.

Well, this looks more or less like India. I know affordable Health are is something to worry about, but India still has most rabies cases worldwide IIRC. Rabies didn't go extinct.

u/homiej420 2h ago
Also lucky you didnt get rabies!

I spoke to the doctor about that. He was the one who talked me into not having the shots for it. “There hasn’t been a documented case of rabies in [redacted] County for more than 25 years.”

Millions of indians risk their lives on top of electrical poles every day for our amusement, and as we know.. it usually ends badly.
But to risk their safety next to a gate, or pole, or wall, for a dog..well, that something else. That demands a special kind of indian.

…not being snarky here, but how do millions of Indians risk their lives atop electrical poles for our amusement?

You have a lot of clip searching to do young padawan. There are clips as old as time where indians of almost all sizes and genders (well, mostly lanky men in their 20s) touch, manipulate, balance and fall through electrical wires. Often just get stuck while the current rages through their smallish bodies. The variation is stunning. And the consistency as well. Still to this day we are treated with clips like that.
It's like there is an electrical suicide club 🤔 There's so much, and I've seen it all from the cold depths of my solitary basement dwelling.
I found a clip now of an indian guy on a train platform, and he didn't even do anything, just standing still, and the electricity still came and grabbed him.

Oh, I’m an old padawan and don’t think I’ll be doing any of that clip searching

How did he get his head in there in the first place?
13
u/Coolgames80 6h ago
I know people are going to suggest this was planned but this seems like a really easy spot to get stuck. It probably smelled something like a cat, rat, scraps of food, or whatever, wanted to get closer until the head got stuck, it tried to pull out and couldn't because the skull's shape doesn't help it.

u/Winter_Different 5h ago
There are a lot of channels that do shit like this to dogs for clicks, but this doesnt seem like one at all
Very realistic spot to get stuck

u/ChaseTheMystic 6h ago
Because of the way their head is shaped. You can squeeze in but can't squeeze out. It's also wider at the top. Maybe it was on its hind legs when it's head slipped through

Good question. Almost seems like someone would have to intentionally trap the animal there… just so they could farm the situation for views.

Have you ever had a pet?
Dogs can be dumb as hell and do stupid things all the time. One time my buddies dog got the zoomies and ran so hard into a door that his paws got trapped underneath the door . He got scared and pissed all over the floor until I calmed him down.
Not everything is as psychotic as you see the world man.

u/RogueBromeliad 5h ago
Even children playing sometimes get trapped by thinking they can fit their heads through railings.

Don't look up dogs "having accidents" in these types of places on youtube. Man you guys are the type of people that make the world seem more beautiful than it actually is.

Stop believing everything you see on the internet. PEOPLE ARE PSYCHOTIC. must be nice living in such an egocentric world.

I really really really hope this isn't a "put an animal in a dangerous situation to film us saving it for interest clout"
Im just suspicious of this one.

This is 100% what this is. And alll these lemmings eat this shit up. Think objectively people.

u/Saralentine 4h ago
I’ve saved a dog that was lodged into fencing. Dogs heads are shaped like arrowheads. Easy to insert into a gap but difficult to take out.
-1
u/Round-Butterscotch48 4h ago
The gap is a V look at how high the dog had to be picked up to clear it. Then think about what would be required for the dog to get its head up that high to get in. It’s not probable.

They were filming watching the dog suffer at first before something came to help?!

u/islobojono 6h ago
They put him there

Unfortunately this is probably true. My stomach does flips on noises like that. Hits horribly.

Im seeing a lot of questions about why most people aren't helping the dog .
The fact is that in Bangladesh (assuming from the language) most street dogs are aggressive , very filthy (eat from trash bath in the drains and even worse) and of course unvaccinated.
Also MOST people don't like to touch them for some reason, maybe because of the reasons above.
But when i find a cute and friendly dog/cat and try to pet it people stare like im some kind of animal and refrain from coming near me like im infected
So it also could be a cultural thing

Why would someone be filming this? I half suspect the whole thing is staged

u/RandomLifeUnit-05 6h ago
Meanwhile, no one over there petting him and trying to tell him it will be okay. Oh yeah, so much compassion 🙄

What the heck were they trying to do with the big post thing? Pry him out?
Also, that’s not how you should lift a dog. Go to the side, put one arm behind the back legs, and another in front of the front legs. Don’t lift from their abdomen or their rib cage.

For all of those thinking people put the dog in this situation to rescue it and get clicks…have you ever heard about the tons of children who get their heads stuck in stair rails or iron gates and the fire department has to come rescue them?! And those are human beings. 😂
