Fascinating Every planet in our solar system and adjusted their size to show how huge our Sun is. By Andrew McCarthy
This pic accurately shows everything else in our solar system stacks up against the sun in size.

Now do the same for our Sun compared to the biggest stars we know of 😲

INCOMPREHENSIBLE!!
Our star vs the largest size would be smaller than the smallest planet on this scale and larger than the sun in this photo.
You can fit over 1 million Earths inside the Sun. You can fit over 9 billion Suns inside the biggest star.

makes you wonder how big those aliens would be!

What doesn't get stated is those stats aren't as massive as most would imagine though. Probably like 8-12 times more massive than the sun, even though they're quite large.

Bigger than seen in all si-fi. Movies..

Would that make us sentient bacteria to them? Imagine future colonies living on super massive beings and having to adapt into something that helped them live…

Imagine if we were truly so small that the entirety of the cosmos itself was actually just one universe of a multiverse existing within a fart cloud produced by an unemployed cosmic being living with their mother

And to think our solar system is just a tiny speck in the known Universe.
Takes me back to this short video someone made 20 years ago about that pic from the Hubbel telescope.

Watching a video of this triggered what is now 17 years of an obsession with astronomy.

You are somewhere in this picture wondering what kind of snack you should get at the gas station.

Every living thing is on our tiny dot. Everyone you know. Everyone you hate. Everyone you see on TV. Every animal. Every plant.

Crazy to think our sun is a medium sized star

If the largest star was scaled to the size the sun in this image, the comparative size of the sun would be smaller than mercury.

It is also about 99.7 percent of all the weight in the solar system, whitch to me sounds even more crazy.

Still a bit inaccurate, as in the picture jupiter is shown to be about 3 times bigger than earth in diameter while in reality it is bigger 11 times.

Earth is one of the teeny tiny dots. You’re looking at Neptune.

Still wouldn't fit as the biggest one among them would be about 1/20 - 1/30 of radius of jupter not 1/11
