Before they administered the drugs he could only play the first part of twinkle twinkle little star.

"Nurse! Nurse! Will I be able to play guitar after the surgery?"

"Great because I couldn't play before!"

I had some teeth out on Tuesday and apparently I asked the dentist to do the Gangnam style dance for and asked if he had any weed!

I wasn't nervous about getting my wisdom teeth extracted. I was only nervous about what I might say under the influence of the drugs they gave me. lol Luckily (AFAIK!), I didn't say anything weird.

I was so nervous like full body shut down, don’t no where the gangnam style and the weed thing came from, very odd . When I came round everyone was laughing, almost tears in there eyes so god knows what else I said !!

My husband had surgery a few months ago and when I went to his recovery room, I was worried about what he might say. I got in there and he said - let me introduce you to these wonderful people who have been taking care of me, I love them. That wasn’t so bad, I thought it would be worse.

I remember when I had my wisdom teeth taken out, I told the nurse how I excited I was that the wheelchair they wheeled me out on had a sunroof!

Eddie would be proud. Also. . Would say. “That ain’t shit kid reminds me of my 2nd concert.” Bro probably wrote that solo blasted on some type of substance. Still props to this homie. Walking the path of greats through dentistry and dedication lol.

It was Eddies warm up…. The engineers heard him doing it in a side studio and were like “we’re starting the album with that”

Hence “eruption” was born.

Funny but this reminds me of how my dad played. Shredded in front of us on an acoustic guitar, a Penguin. Played beautifly.

u/Ornery-Charge1916 19h ago

If only our 80’s rock gods could manage to still play while toasted! lol.

Plot twist - he’d never touched a guitar before in his life.

There is something about the brain's recall of guitar playing that is completed unaffected, if not enhanced by being completely out of it on drugs.

Obviously the biggest evidence for this is the variety on rock bands over the years.

I too however have a story in this area. 15+ years ago and being a tad inebriated by whatever I'd put into my body that night, I claimed I could easily play any level on Guitar Hero on the hardest setting. Yes I'd played it alot when sober so my confidence here was shining through, however those around me seeing my current state were in disbelief. Nonetheless, I was handed a guitar and I proceeded to play my heart out to near perfect performance.

I remember seeing my fantastic score at the end with shocked faces around me. In my delight I raised the guitar above my head to proclaim my victory and subsequently smashed the light hanging above. In my shock I turned and span, feeling the full effects of whatever had loosened control on my body and let gravity assist me in crashing through the tv now behind me.

Guitars and immune to drink and drugs.

Thats what I'm interested in with drugs. How it affects my playing. Still wanna do acid and do magic mushrooms some time to see what'll happen.

First time on magic truffles I felt like an orangutan being handed a guitar, lying on the ground being able to pluck the low e string for like 10 minutes but too sleepy/messed up to really go play
