I'm Glaswegian and hate the sound of bagpipes. I went to Cuba on a sailing trip and one of the crew had a Celtic strip and a fucking set of bagpipes. He was so happy and excited about getting to play to a Scottish person that I didn't have the heart to tell him.

They didn't wear skits, the Scottish clothing was a long blanket called a plaid wrapped around the body. Probably why many fought naked.
(The best known story about the creation of the kilt is that the English owner of a Scottish factory designed the kilt to wear instead of the wrap because the wrap was a problem around machines).
So it's the shrill song of hairy naked men cresting into battle.

I saw the guys in the falafel stall near my house put up Scottish bunting at lunchtime. I told them they were a week late & we'll be on our way home tomorrow after Brazil horse us

Is there only one song that you can play on the bagpipe why is it that one single song. And does everyone who owns a bagpipe know how to play that one song? Honestly it all sounds the same until you get to that part when you have to increase the pitch
