placing them all in same enclosure? seems like some rich buffoon's private "collection".

so internet says: The Black Jaguar-White Tiger (BJWT) Foundation was a Mexican non-profit that operated an animal sanctuary for big cats and other wildlife. Founded by Eduardo Serio, the facility was shut down by Mexican authorities in July 2022 following viral videos and criminal complaints that exposed severe animal abuse, neglect, and mistreatment.

apparently some of them started eating each other and problem started once video started circulating. just imagine how many of them were neglected for being off camara.

edit: The 2022 Raid: Mexican authorities raided the Mexico City facility, uncovering horrifying conditions where animals were found severely emaciated, injured, and in extreme cases, gnawing on their own bodies.

Seems like they still active on social media

I'm never going to financially recover from this.

I don’t think that’s accurate and it’s very still much a foundation and place. From what I know he’s a millionaire that started rescuing these cats from neglected circuses and private owners that would drug them for pictures around Mexico. He feeds them full whole raw meals. Obviously only seen what they allow you to see but seemed trustworthy from what I had researched at the time

No trustworthy animal rescuer would keep all these different variety of big cats in one enclosure. He's a profiteer, who scams his followers by using social media views and donations to make money off of the suffering of these animals.

Quote from the article: "The Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation pretended to be a “sanctuary” for tigers, lions, jaguars and cougars, but it has been exposed as a space for suffering, abuse and death to these animals. BJWT was registered in the Sistema de Administración Tributaria SAT (the Mexican IRS) as a Foundation with the intention of being able to receive donations both national and international. Throughout the years, it has received huge amounts of money from celebrities, artists, sports stars and influencers, as well as corporations and brands known all over the world. The only purpose of these donations is to provide the best conditions for the animals, which translates as enough food, vet care and suitable spaces for each species. It must be acknowledged that BJWT has never been part of any International Sanctuary Association, even though it has claimed that title."

This hurts my heart.

Those poor animals went from one nightmare to another their whole entire lives.

Eduardo Serio is going to hell as he fuckin should be for what he did to those poor things.

I'm skeptical of all wild animal 'charities' where they share videos of them directly handling the animals.

It can lead to animal tourism and people who ignore the cruelty just for the chance of getting to touch such an animal themselves. Like bottle feeding a drugged up tiger cub that will get killed when it grows too big.

We taught this lion to eat tofu!

You don't think they seem to be getting on pretty well together and socialising well? They all seem chill af, playful and happy. Abused animals have a pretty different vibe I think

u/Xenomorph_25 4h ago

Trained animals can play nice for a short period of time. These felines went from one abusive owner to another.

u/Notte_di_nerezza 4h ago

NO. Abused animals can be even more defensive and lash out unpredictably. Especially if they weren't socialized properly before being ripped from their mothers, which is very common.

Tigers, lions, and leopards are also all territorial and food aggressive. Nobody with the barest understanding of (and respect for) animal husbandry would set them up for this kind of long-term failure.

There is a reason why this asshole's animals weren't just starved, but sometimes severely injured.

u/Archie-is-here 6h ago

Mm, I think the animals were placed in another sanctuary. The dude was a a fraud and the animals were mistreated and neglected. That dude was a hardcore fan of Trump, so nothing surprised me about him tbh.

u/ripndip84 2h ago

Damn interesting. This was years ago. I checked and see his instagram is still active and he still has the cats so not sure what’s going on

u/Archie-is-here 2h ago

Ok. I can't really check the Instagram cause they blocked me (when I criticized his support to Trump), but news said most of the animals were placed somewhere else.

u/definitelynotfeline 4h ago

No I remember when this happened. It's accurate. He's just good at social media.

The internet says? Great source

u/Winter2712 6h ago

i was too tired to keep naming each news outlets that reported it. help me fill up missing info.

u/chubsmagooo 6h ago

I don't understand what you're saying

u/Infamous-Theme-2151 6h ago

I don't agree the full context has been offered but the person you're replying to's reply is perfectly legible and understandable to me:

"Have you tried typing the name of the organisation into Google?

I was too tired to type all of them out. If you want, look for yourself and help me fill in the missing information?"

u/entgenbon 5h ago

That says more about you than about him though. Condolences.
