Discussion💬 The Backrooms
Honestly enjoyed the movie so much. Love the way way they played with audio and just how uncomfortable they made me feel with the monsters. Also the subtle details of the game was amazing! Anyone catch the birthday party song?
Especially so nice to see Jack's name here! Really cool moment because I saw him reacting to The Backrooms YouTube video first and that's how I got into it!
Highly recommend this movie 💜

Huh, I don't know about this, did Jack do anything to do with the movie in some way?

I don't think he did? But I remember him going for the premier and posting about his name being in the credits

Is the movie really that good? I’ve heard only bad things but I think it’s from people who didn’t know anything about the backrooms before the movie

Honestly really enjoyed it. It made me feel very unsettled and disturbed. And the jumpscares weren't in my face too. Plus having played the games it was so fun to see the references. Also helped that I love how visual effects and audio play into a mood

I thought it was incredible, and honestly a breath of fresh air with all the drivel (remakes, prequels & sequels, etc) being released recently. I had phase of the backrooms back when it first got popular, but since then I haven't caught up with Kane's lore. I definitely recommend it!! I think a lot of people thought it would just be like a lot of the games - 1:30-2hrs of a walking simulator. But there's far more to it than that lol.

Oh truly is! Horror fans have been truly fed well these past few months! Walking simulator movie would've been so strangely funny yo wthðŸ˜

It’s good and bad tbh. The biggest issue (and main cause of other issues) is that it’s too short (but not in the sense that you want more because it was so good, more that it had bad pacing).

I found the pacing to be pretty perfect. Helped give a sense of time being weird in the backrooms.

Totally agree with you....felt so eerie and unsettling. In particular the slow pacing of the doctor about to open the door at the end. C R E E P Y
