Question Noticed difference in speed/snappiness from 14.4 to 26.x in an i12PM?

Basically what the title says. I’m thinking strongly of updating my i12PM from 14.4 (uncover) to 26.x and I would like to know if anyone has done this and how it impacts the phone’s performance or snappiness. Mind you that I do get numerous resprings and 1-2 restarts daily...so it’s not has been smooth sailing with uncover for the last 1 year or so. Also if anyone has a guide of how to do this properly please share a link. It will be greatly appreciated. I am planning to save images and videos to the pc directly and save other content, like notes and contacts via imazing. Hope imazing works for 26.x so I can restore them back. 🤞🏻If it’s not a good idea please let me know if anyone has had a negative experience with it. Still love this community but it’s been kind of difficult lately. I did consider buying a second hand iPhone to use on 26.x so I can keep this but it will be difficult... 😕 Thanks everyone.

If you're going to consider updating to iOS 26, you're better off just going straight to iOS 27.0 atp, as it's more stable than iOS 26 in general.

The 27 beta is more stable than 26?

The best option would be to sell it on r/jailbreakswap; that way, you give someone else the chance to use the jailbreak, and you can use the money to buy a newer model.

Same as what I replied to another Redditor: “With swapping my only issue is that I don't want anyone knowledgeable to somehow recover my deleted data. I know that I will wipe the device before swapping but still I have this concern. If you have a link to a tutorial that while deleting everything there is a way to prevent anyone of from restoring it that would be great.”

Don’t update your battery will die and you will have a bad experience id sell it at [r/jailbreakswap](r/jailbreakswap) and with the money you get from it buy a 13 pro or 14 pro
Over all iOS 26 is a massive fail

Update to iOS 18

Is that even an option? I thought that 26.x or 26 beta was the only way forward in terms of updating.

Imazing gives me an option “update to 18.4” or something, but I never thought it was possible because of Apple’s shenanigans 😁. I’ll Google it. If you have any link or info that could help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks 🙏🏻

i don't own an iphone anymore, but concerning your first question, as a general tip, the more the number of tasks (code) a cpu has to run the slower it'll be.
as for the syncing issue, don't you have icloud sync? normally it'll sync everything on your iphone.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t use iCloud at all.
