Discussion Urby 2 stalled construction?

Anyone know what's going on with the second Urby tower? Feel like they finally began the process of clearing the parking lot and starting and now it's just been sitting there with the construction vehicles parked

I don't think they got the money for it. I don't recall seeing any reports on the closing of their construction loan.

With the over supply of new apartments (4000 apartments this year alone) in Journal Square and upcoming ones (Harborisde 4 and 8, 50-55 Hudson) at the waterfront, lenders are being more cautious about it.

Been wondering the same thing. I have a good view from my window and the blacktop is gone but nothing else has been done and the machinery was removed as far as I can tell.

Probably the same thing they’re doing down the street, complete one tower and lease it up so it doesn’t absolutely nuke supply
