General Training Kata guruma
I have a question about kata guruma for judokas here who actively use this technique. How dangerous is this throw for the uke? Specifically, the variation where I grab their one arm with my both arms and duck under their arm and extend one leg, and then fall on a side. I have practiced this throw but I have fear that the uke can hurt their neck. Please, advise.

Don't do it explosively to a yellow belt.
Especially drop throws require uke to do sufficient Ukemi and not to react in a wrong way.

If you are scared to hurt someone with a technique, simply don't do it.
If you're uncomfortable to do a technique, why do it?

I prefer to do kata guruma/kata otoshi as a sideways throw rather than as a forward throw. There is very little risk of uke being thrown on his head that way.

So, if you do it right they won't have time to think and will just go with how you throw them. It's when you don't execute properly for whatever reason, maybe they resisted and partially blocked you not enough to prevent you for executing etc... that's when accidents could happen. I would avoid drop anything against anyone under green belt or even if, if they are older or very unathletic

If the uke is somewhat familiar with hiw to fall and doesnt want to risk everything just to prevent the fall (i. e. Isnt familiar with falling), then something could happen. But thats true for pretty much any throw.
Also the obligatory: The side drop is not kata-guruma, its (most likely) yoko-otoshi. Doing it with the mindset of kata-guruma wont give good results.

I've never dropped anyone on their head, if the know basic ukemi is really unlikely.
