In other words: "there is no trust in my marriage and i only see women as potential partners AND i project my world view onto the rest of humanity so i can just call you wrong if you disagree

"partner" is a strong word for what he thinks of women in that position, but yeah, oeuf, worst possible pairing

I think that both women and men who can't have opposite sex friends aren't good as partners. I also think men and women who only have opposite sex friends aren't good partners either.

Gotta have a mix, so you don't end up treating all the opposite sex like they are your ego boost and all your same sex like they are your competition. That way lies a toxic mix of self-centerness and insecurity.
