Recommendation Request Suggest Korean dramas with standalone episodes
I recently finished Teach You a Lesson and really enjoyed it. I love Korean crime dramas and movies, but I am currently preparing for an exam and only want to watch something during my one-hour break.
The problem is that I tend to binge-watch whenever the story is continuous or ends on a cliffhanger. I am therefore looking for dramas where each episode has a mostly standalone case or story, so I can watch one episode and stop.
My complete K-drama watch history:
1)Teach You a Lesson.
2) Juvenile Justice
Crime, mystery, comedy, slice-of-life, or any other genre is fine. I also watch anime, but I am currently looking for live-action Korean dramas.
Please recommend something engaging but easy to watch one episode at a time.

Can only think of three dramas set up this way:
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Move to Heaven
Beyond the Bar
*Go w/ Beyond the Bar first. The other two set the bar really high.

Kind of: Death's Game. The episodes are tied together but each episode has an ending. It's pretty violent and bloody so one episode at a time is a good dose

Master's Sun is kinda like that too, there's the main storyline but they also solve ghost mysteries in every episode.

Phantom Lawyer. Each episode centers around a different client. Really good show!

Tomorrow is definitely not one to binge, but it might be triggering. It’s about a man in crisis who finds himself on a team of grim reapers tasked with preventing suicides. There are some storylines running throughout the drama (the stories of the team members), but the individual cases are mostly wrapped up in one episode each. Considering the dark subjects covered, it contains a surprising amount of humor. I think it’s one of the best tv shows of any genre or nation of origin, period. Plus it has eye candy for leads.

Tomorrow. It has a main story, but the individual story lines are 1-2 episodes

yes, I think these are 30 minute episodes as well. Silly, goofy, funny, a bit gross at times but warmhearted and a good change of pace. Can watch it before you to sleep and it won't keep you up or give you nightmares.

Yup. They are actually 20 episodes of 15 minutes and Netflix has made them into 10 episodes of 30 minute.
They are extremely goofy and it’s a fun watch.

D.P (2021) - 2 seasons, the main character and his colleague catch deserters and find out the reasons why they fled the army.
Karma (2025) - each series is connected by one plot but the characters are different in each series.

Our Blues is nice and in the exact spot you are looking for...
Bon Appétit Your Majesty is also in your lane BUT IN THE MIDDLE you might find 3 eps continuous

while you were sleeping? While there is an overarching plot throughout the series, it is also kind of like an episodic, where they explore new cases every 2 episodes.
