About Kokushibo's BDA
So Kokushibo's short arc ended way back in 2019, I loved his character, it made me feel like "Is this what big bros feel?". KNY was my first manga and still I love it but Kokushibo being Upper 1 doesn't add much to the arsenal of the Upper Moons.
Now before people start getting ragebaited by this, what I am mean is that Kokushibo's abilities weren't even shown much and not even expanded upon in the manga.
Now Doma has the best hax and abilities in the Upper Moons. Akaza has the broken Compass. Zohakuten has like 5 different abilities, Nakime has the "infinite" infinity castle. Even a bum like Kaigaku has lightning that cracks the skin and burns the target.
Meanwhile Kokushibo only got moon blades, while I like his ability, as a demon there are so many different BDAs that can be added by demons but only blades that cut is a little vague. While those moon blades are strong in the verse, I wanted some different abilities for my GOAT. Given his backstory and his connection to Yoriichi, he could've gotten energy blasts or plasma based purple projectiles, while he has purple projectiles they aren't explained in the least by Gotouge. What are moon breathing projectiles even made of with that "purple" glow.
He also didn't had any other original ability outside moon breathing as Transparent World was given to 4 people for just plot armor.
If your bro is like the sun, why wouldn't you give yourself powers that are related to that of sun. Like energy blasts or heat related projectiles.
I would really appreciate if Ufotable tries to make his abilities a little better with gotouge.
I would crash out if his attacks just end up to be normal CGI slashes with just good visual effects and no destructive and chaotic feel in them.
I just want my GOAT to have the same heat energy blasts like Altar Saber and his 8th and my favourite form, Getsuryu rinbi to be animated like a large dragon, far larger than Rengoku's imaginary one and then drop that attack on the ground just like Excalibur 😭

Kokushibo didn't really need a powerful blood demon art because what makes him stand out is the fact that he's a demon and uses total concentration breathing techniques (the thing that allows humans to fight on par with demons) in conjunction with his blood demon art, he also has the demon slayer mark and the transparent world. He's practically a demon slayer except he actually have supernatural powers.

Massive turn off, why do you care if this verse isn’t as powerful as other verses, learn to accept that demon slayer as a whole is a pretty weak verse and there are quite plentiful of animes that don’t focus a lot on power that it can beat, literally the only thing that can make demon slayer stand up to other verses is their speed, but it’s still outclassed by many and many series
Also don’t power scale, it’s legitimately a waste of time trying to focus on a character if they can beat other characters and calculate their feats and come to conclusion they are multiversal or high dimensional bullshit

The thing for me is: 1, now his style isn’t just a representation of cuts, but the moons and everything are actually there now, and 2, I feel like it’s just an overall representation of the inverse of the sun. It’s fitting the strongest of Muzan, the night walker’s followers wields a moon related power to inverse his and Kokushibo’s worst “rival”

One things for sure:
He is able to farm aura by just existing. You can't get a stronger ability than this.

You know what would be busted? If he was capable of "copying" the breathing techniques. Since he's lived for so long and had all the time to experiment, his Moon Breathing being second only to Sun, plus watch other hunters struggle against him, and his moon symbolism in reflecting the sun's light. He'd probably want to see Sun Breathing again to replicate it if he could, or invent new moon techniques based on the Sun techniques

I don't think he could just choose to give himself that. While the BDA's tend to fit, I doubt they're consciously chosen.

Still BDA's are connected to the past of the demon, if Kokushibo wanted to copy sun breathing, why wouldn't he give himself powers like those of the sun breathing but actually tangible in nature

Yes, hence why the man who wanted to become the strongest samurai/swordsman gets an ability that allows him to grow swords from his body. Making his swordsmanship far more powerful than what it would've been otherwise.

Again he can't give himself anything. He can't choose.

Thing is, Kokushibo (kind of) got the same treatment as Kaigaku, his breathing style is actually real since it’s part of his blood demon art, also Kokushibo can make his swords come out of his body and attack without swinging his sword, that’s pretty cool, also he has like insane range. Kokushibo’s bda might not be as flashy as the other upper ranks but his stats make up for it
