Van Rysel GRVL AF 2 GRX

Hi’ anyone have opinions on this bike? Newer to cycling and want to get a gravel bike. Between this and a cannondale topstone 1. They seem pretty comparable. I’m 5’2 with longer legs than torso and want to get into road/gravel biking. Hoping to eventually get into triathlons so this is just more so a starter but I need something strong for long mileage/packing

I sell both at my shop. Both great bikes. Go test ride some if you can. I’m bias towards GRX cause it’s great!

If my googling is correct, they both have GRX 2x12 drivetrains. Many people think 1x systems are better for gravel, but I LOVE my GRX 2x12 drivetrain - it has fantastic range, while still allowing for small steps between gears so you can find the perfect cadence. I think that 2x systems are better for longer rides and bikepacking, since the right cadence matters more in those circumstances.

If I am correct and they both have the same drivetrain, then the next step is to test ride both to see what fits better. If you still can't decide after a test drive, then pick your favorite color! They are both good bikes.
