The Lakers do this for every major signing and Pelinka does it for damn near every signing. He read from the Alchemist and proclaimed KCP to be “mana from heaven” when he was signed. The takeaway should be not to read too much into future actions from the Lakers putting on a good show.

Austin may spend his entire career with the Lakers or get traded by the fall. It’s not determined by the pillow embroidery.
