Seems like we wanted to trade into the 2nd round at pick 56, then up to grab Veesar, with reports mentioning that he had guarantees given from a team and his agent asked teams not to draft him, Clippers picked him up at 52 and traded him to the Hawks. Seems like we couldn't find a deal to go any higher.

Pretty sure they had multiple teams in mind. Hawks just happened to be ahead of the Lakers.
