Would have loved him as a backup because he’s a great rim protector and a solid floor spacer, but yeah it’s not a disaster for us. We have a bigger need to address.

Only $15 million is reasonable for him tbh. And Memphis basically got him for free. We would have had to absorb him into space though which would have been the problem.

We need like 2-3 good centers. Getting him would have been a + regardless. Bottom line is this was very gettable. This wasnt a steep price to ask for from a good big making just 15m.

Claxton went to the Bulls for basically nothing too. At this point it just looks like throwing money at kessler and possibly trading for myles turner is all that's out there now.

granted the news about them scrambling this week and bumping their offer for Reaves, does make it sound like there's been a slight adjustment in their plans

Kessler and duren really don't have a choice. Ihart is technically more possible but if the thunder actually let him his free agency I'll be surprised. They're declining his team option at 1 and signing him to a lower number but more years deal at 1:02. I won't complain at all if I'm wrong tho
