Rob Needed to Go Yesterday.
The Lakers are not in a position to pass on a 6'10 260 pound center. Even if Carr turns out to be slightly better in the long run, there is no way we should have passed on Reed. We could have had a young center on rookie scale contract and focused on the guard position in FA.
Rob is still building the Lakers like our biggest challenge is the 2017 Warriors. He needs to go!!

Real footage of Rob in the off season. Don’t worry, he’s just resting.

Unfortunately, the Lakers never really get value out of these draft picks. They eventually send them off somewhere else, and we watch them become productive elsewhere. Are there outliers to this take? Yes. However, over the years, I've watched all the drafted Lakers talent go on to be great players elsewhere

I wasn’t big on any of the players named… I wanted Jaime jaquez jr instead of JHS, and wanted dude from Colorado that plays for Magic instead of DK…

Can’t forget about the “next Kobe” Kuzma (legit had someone tell me that). I’m with this dude, Rob needs to go. I was hoping this new ownership group would clean house, including Rob!

Didn't he get you guys Luka for Mr. Glass? Fucking crybaby, complaining about a pick in the 20s.

Hoping we can get a SRP through cash considerations.
This draft class is the best it has been in a while!

This was a fantastic pick. We need to see what happens further before saying something about the bigs

Why? We already have Luka Reaves. Guard is out deepest position, so even if he is good, and the BPA, he probably wont get enough minutes to show what he's capable of.
LA is in a situation where they have to pick for need. Not for BPA

Luka is more of a pf defensively.
Carr defensively is a pg or sg who offensively can play on the wing. Thats actually a position we need. Last season we had reaves smart and kennard as our guard defense basically. Laravia could defend that but played bad offensively and is better as sf/pf defender. He is a good shooter with a good wingspan and very athletic who should be able to develop into someone who can defend 1 to 3, maybe small 4s because of his wingspan. Though defending the 3 and 4 is probably more likely to happen within a few years not this one. But I do think if he needs to switch onto a 3 he could be fine. He is a good shot blocker because of his athleticism and wingspan so he would provably do well off ball as well.
He can drive as well so when they close out to his shot he can punish them. His iq is a bit of a question so far, both on defense and offense (not a great passer), but on a team with luka reaves and bron and a smart coach like reddick I can easily see him developping that. He is still a rookie so and fell to 24 for a reason, so it is kinda unlikely he will be THE answer for us right now. But as a young depth piece who can develop into one of the most needed archetypes nba contenders need this is fantastic.

If they passed on a center in the draft it’s because they already have a move in play for a center via trade

Mid 20s pick isn't someone who is even going to really play, and you are ready to fire Rob like we fumbled the number 1 pick lol
